a/n: i have decided that this chapter is going to be a dream lauren has had instead of a memory.

"Mommy! Mama! Wake up!" A child's voice said into Lauren's ear. She knew that voice very well. Lauren opened her eyes to see her five year old daughter Lily jumping on her bed. Lily had long brown hair and green eyes.

"Good morning," Lauren said back. Lily smiled brightly at her mother.

"Mama isn't awake yet," the child said. Lauren sat up and stretched.

"I know what will wake her up," Lauren said slyly. She was suddenly taken back to when she was in high school with her then girlfriend and Sofi wanted to wake her up for Christmas.

Lauren turned to her wife and began to place kisses all over her face. The brunette opened on eye to look at Lauren. Lauren smiled.

"Seven years later and it still works like a charm," she said and Camila laughed. Lauren was still in love with that laugh.

"I think today is a special day for someone," Camila said, pretending not to know what the day actually was. Lauren nodded and Lily laughed.

"Yes! It's my first day of school!" Lily shouted. Camila had a fake shocked expression on her face.

"Then let's get you ready. Can you go into your room and get your backpack?" Camila asked. Lily nodded and jumped off of their bed, running into her bedroom. Lauren looked at Camila, smiling. Camila leaned in and captured Lauren's lips. She still got the same butterflies she had felt when they were teenagers.

Lauren and Camila had adopted Lily when she was three years old. They were lucky enough to find a wonderful, healthy child who happened to look like both of them combined.

Lily came back into the room carrying her Finding Dory backpack. Lauren loved that Camila had introduced her to the movie and that Lily loved it as much as Camila did. Lauren got out of bed and picked Lily up.

"Who's up for waffles?" Lauren asked. Camila and Lily yelled in unison. Lauren laughed at the two. She walked down the stairs of their house and into the kitchen, sitting Lily on the counter so that she could help.

Lauren got out the ingredients and began to cook. Camila joined them soon and kissed both girls on the cheek. Camila took Lily to get dressed while Lauren finished their breakfast.

Five minutes later Lauren had successfully made waffles without burning the house down, and Lily ran down the stairs excitedly, followed by Camila.

"Look at my outfit, Mommy!" Lily yelled happily. She was wearing a white tank top with a flowered skirt, and sandals on her feet. Camila had pulled her hair into a high ponytail, and added a bow to it.

"I love it, Lil," Lauren said. Lily climbed into her chair and began to eat breakfast. Camila walked over to Lauren and wrapped her in a hug. Lauren smelled Camila's perfume like she did when she was just a teenager.

The family enjoyed breakfast together contently. When Lily finished, Lauren helped her brush her teeth and get everything else together. Lily put her jacket on, and her moms took her out to wait for the bus. Lauren took a bunch of pictures before the bus pulled up in front of their house.

"Bye mommy, bye mama," she said as she ran on to the bus.

"That's our child, Camz," Lauren said. Camila wrapped an arm around Lauren.

"Lilliana Ann Jauregui. Our baby girl," Camila said back. They walked back inside and Camila started to clean up from breakfast. Lauren came up behind Camila as she was putting plates in the sink and kissed her neck. Camila stiffened slightly. Lauren still had the same effect on her many years later.

"You look really hot today," Lauren said huskily into Camila's ear as she bit down lightly on the skin. Camila held back a moan.

"P-please, I'm h-hot everyday," Camila said through gritted teeth. Lauren smirked.

"Feeling frisky, are we? You shouldn't talk back to me, Camila," Lauren said in a low voice and bit down on Camila's neck harder, causing the girl to moan softly.

"W-wow. We've been together for s-seven years and you still try to f-fuck me every time we're alone," Camila stuttered.

"But can you blame me?" Lauren asked. Camila smiled slightly and Lauren continued to bite Camila.

"Babe, it's Friday. We're going out tonight. Can you make it until then?" Camila asked. Lauren frowned but nodded. Camila smiled and pecked Lauren's lips, running upstairs to get ready for work. Lauren trudged along behind her. Camila was a singing coach and Lauren taught chorus at her old high school. Lauren found out about Camila's incredible voice when they were seniors, and vice versa for Camila.

Lauren and Camila got ready quickly and soon they were both leaving for their separate jobs. They stood in between the two cars in their driveway.

"Kiss?" Camila asked. Lauren smiled and nodded, placing a gentle kiss on to Camila's lips. Camila smiled into the kiss, causing Lauren to giggle. It was one weird kiss. Lauren got into her car and drove out. She and Camila went their separate ways. Lauren pulled up to the high school. It was a rush of memories that came back to her. She had met Camila in the exact building seven years ago exactly. She smiled to herself and pulled into her parking spot.

Lauren missed her old friends. She still talked to Dinah, Normani, and Ally, but she longed to talk to them face to face. Lauren thought about all of her memories as she walked into the school, heels clicking on the floor.

She walked into the chorus room and put her stuff into her office. She was already prepared and there was still ten minutes until the busses were scheduled to arrive, so she took a walk. She walked down the hall to her old locker. The spot where her friends and her would complain about what classes they hated. Where Dinah would race Normani. Where Ally would yell at them about their language. Where Camila would make stupid jokes. Lauren felt tears rush to her eyes.

With a shaky hand, Lauren opened her locker. She laughed to herself when she saw that on the inside of the door, the spot where she had written LMJ+KCC was still there. She pulled out her phone and took a picture, sending it in a group chat to Camila, Dinah, Normani, and Ally. She quickly scribbled something on a stray piece of paper.

"To whoever gets this locker,
I fell in love with a girl here. We talked every morning in the hall for two years straight. I'm just a girl who fell in love with a girl in high school, and now I'm married to her and we have a child. True love does exist. I hope you find your true love, no matter who it is.
With love,
LMJ."

Lauren read it out loud to herself quietly and stuck it in the locker, closing the door. She went back to the chorus room with a feeling of happiness in her body. Suddenly, she heard a voice.

"Lauren. Laur. Lo. Lauren Michelle Jauregui!"

Lauren sat up quickly, rubbing her eyes. She realized that she was in the school, standing at her locker. She was just dreaming.

"Dude, you were out for a good ten minutes. What were you dreaming about?" Dinah said.

"Camila," Lauren said sheepishly. Dinah sent her a knowing look.

"She's coming back soon, Laur. Soon enough you won't have to dream about her," Normani said. Lauren's mind went blank.

"What's today?" She asked.

"February 18th," Ally replied. Camila was coming home March 3rd, her own birthday. Lauren smiled to herself. The past months had gone by slowly, but surely. She couldn't wait to hold Camila again.
