Elena pulled him down with her, "Yep!" she exclaimed, "I would love another ride." He stumbled and lay down with her. "Alright then, it's settled. You have to tell me when you're leaving okay?" Azmend pushed his white hair out of his eyes. "Of course. I am your friend so it just makes sense." she chirped.
Azmend looked up at the clouds, why did he feel so at ease? He shouldn't feel like this. He shouldn't get attached to her. She's just a human so she'll die in a few years anyway. He let out a sigh he didn't know he was holding in.
"Azmend I think I hang out with you for your eyes." Elena asked out of the blue. "Hm? They're nothing special." Azmend brushed her comment aside. "Nothing special? They're beautiful...how unique! Having one blue eye and a green one, I love them!" Elena was astonished.
"Stop, you don't say things like that to a dragon who helped with your dad's murder okay?!" Elena sat up, "You didn't kill him and he lived his life to the fullest! I...I know you didn't mean it...Karzen didn't mean to either. You're...You and your brother are innocent." He glanced up at her and noticed tears welling up in her eyes, "Let's go inside."
Was he a good person? Could he call himself that? Did he have the right? Elena nodded and wiped away her tears and smiled down at him. Azmend sat up and ruffled her hair, "Stop that! Nooo my hair!" she whined. He smiled and started to walk to his house, Elena perked up and followed closely behind him.
"Humans are pretty slow right? Yeah, I'm sure they are..." Azmend teased. Elena huffed, "You're kidding! How rude!" Azmend smirked, "Only one way to find out~!" He ran full speed towards the house and Elena chased after him. Her boots swept through the fresh grass but were ultimately no match against Azmend.
He stopped at his door and leaned against it, "Oh. Wow, you're a lot slower than I thought you'd be." he remarked. Elena folded her arms, "Not fair, y-you had a h-head start!" her breathing was heavy and she flopped onto the door next to Azmend. "Well, sure but why were you so far behind? Humans are just slow, it's okay~!"
"There's fast humans! I'm just...not one of them." she pouted. Azmend patted her shoulder and led her into his house. Everything was okay until Azmend saw Elena shaking. "What is it? Are you cold?" he asked. "Um...Where is it?" she had a worried look on her face. Elena wanted to see where he kept her while she was kidnapped. She wanted to avoid it by all means.
"Where's what? Wh-oh." Azmend walked up to her, "It's not like that this time Elena. You're my friend and I won't hurt you I swear." He went to grab her shoulder but she flinched, he retracted his hand. She's afraid.
She blinked and smiled sheepishly,"S-Sorry! I'm okay! I don't need to know!" Azmend reluctantly nodded, "I'm sorry too, I swear I won't hurt you." Elena sat down on his couch, "You didn't hurt me last time so I'm not sure why I was so scared. I just need to see you as the nice person that payed for my hotel room and not the dragon that kidnapped me!"
"Yeah...let's talk about something else alright? Do you want something to drink or eat? I know humans eat a lot." Azmend pondered. "Alright. I don't think people eat a lot but... okay? What do you have?" Elena answered. "Uhh.....I have no clue." Azmend grabbed things out of his fridge and looked at them as if they were from an alien planet.
"My brother does most of the shopping, I don't get out much." he continued. Elena approached him, "How about I make something? I don't cook very well but my dad taught me a little bit when I was a kid." Azmend sat on the couch, "Okay. Just don't burn down my home."
Elena shuffled through his fridge and beamed at him, "You won't be disappointed!" she exclaimed. She ran around Azmend's kitchen and set it up before she started cooking. "What are you making?" Azmend inquired. "Well I wanted Digiorno but that's an Earth thing so I settled on some of this...stuff that looks like spaghetti." Elena sighed.
