"Erin, what we did last night, we can't ever do again. This has to be.... like.... like a one night stand. It can't ever happen again." Jay explained, getting up from his bed and putting his clothes on.
"You're right. I agree. Never again." Erin agreed, but before she could finish her sentence, Jay was taking off the clothes he just put on and was kissing her.
"Okay, now we seriously can't do this again. And we also have to get ready for work." Erin breathed.
"I'm gonna go get dressed and get some coffee. I'll see you at work?" Jay asked.
"Yeah, sooner than later because we have to be there in 15 minutes!" Erin exclaimed. "I'll have to re-wear this and hope no one notices."
"At least I can change..." Jay teased. "Sorry about that."
"Nah it's fine. It was worth it." Erin winked.
"Now we only have 10 minutes so we better stop chit-chatting and go!" Jay rushed.
Erin rolled out of bed and put yesterday's clothes back on.
They walked into work five minutes apart. "Erin? Isn't that what you wore yesterday?" Mouse asked.
"Yeah, I didn't make it home last night." Erin admitted, sitting down.
"Who's the lucky guy?" Ruzek questioned.
"Just a one night stand." Erin stated, "and now this is awkward. So I'll just be..." She started as she walked into the break room.
As she walked into the break room, Jay walked up the stairs and over to his desk.
"So Erin was with a guy last night. Supposedly a one night stand." Ruzek whispered.
"Oh, really. Did she tell you his name?" Jay asked.
"No, but does it matter?" Ruzek asked rhetorically.
"I guess not. Do we have a new case or what?" Jay questioned.
"Nah, I mean yeah we do. But we're waiting on the analysis on some fingerprints and blood and the autopsy report so we're getting there. But it'll presented in like 30 minutes so... yeah." Ruzek answered.
"Good. Well not good, but ya know, at least it's sooner rather than later." Erin sipped her coffee.
"You're rather chipper today. I guess that one night stand really made you happy, huh?" Jay teased.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. He was... It was just a one time thing." Erin responded.
"That is what a one night stand is, isn't it?" Ruzek teasingly asked.
"Duh." Erin sighed as she plopped into her chair.
I had fun last night. But never again. A text message popped up on Jay's phone. It was from Erin.
"Who's that Jay?" Mouse asked.
"My girlfriend." Jay blurted, realizing what he said he looked up at Erin.
"You have a girlfriend?" Erin questioned, smiling.
"Well, hopefully one day she will be. As of now, not so much. But I know she feels the same way." Jay confessed and explained.
One Day, Jay. One Day. Erin messaged him.
Hopefully one day soon, right? ;) Jay replied.
