"Hey, Jay." Erin greeted as Jay's eyes fluttered open.
"How long have I been out?" Jay asked.
"Barely a day." Erin stated, grabbing his hand.
"That's good. I've missed you." Jay smiled.
"Is this how you felt when I was shot?" Erin wiped a tear off her cheek.
"Yeah. I felt terrible." Jay agreed.
"Don't do that to me. Don't almost die again. I can't lose you."
"Same to you, too." Jay laughed, "give me a hug. I've missed you."
"Jay, I missed you, too. I love you, so much."
"I love you, too."
"Hey, bro!" Will walked into the room. "Glad you're back. Not under the best circumstances, but whatever gets you back to us... I'm fine with it." Will admitted.
Erin looked at Will, rolled her eyes, and looked back at Jay.
"Is everything all right between you two?" Jay asked.
"Yeah, everything's fine." Will stated.
"That's a lie." Erin stated. "Jay, Will kissed me. I didn't want to tell you, but it's been on my mind ever since it happened. Not because I enjoyed it but because I feel so guilty. Jay, I'm really sorry."
"Is this true?" Jay asked Will.
"Yeah, it's true." Will looked away.
"How could you...?" Jay asked Will.
"I don't know. I just felt... I'm sorry."
"Are you mad at me?" Erin asked.
"Erin, I can't be mad at you. You told me the truth, you didn't initiate the kiss. I'm not mad at you, but I am mad at Will." Jay stated, "Get out! Will, leave. I don't want you here. I don't need you here. Get out!"
"If that's what you want." Will left.
"So how have you been?" Jay asked.
"With what?" Erin replied, confused.
"Our daughter. Are you doing fine?" Jay asked.
"Ya know, I thought her death was my fault for a short time after it happened, but now I know it was meant to be. What happened happened, I can't change it, I can only move on. I'm doing fine." Erin stated. "How are you?"
"I feel the same. Whatever happens happens, you can't do anything about it."
The phone rang.
"Hello, this is Erin."
"Is Jay there?"
"Who is this?"
"Chief Solomon. I'm calling to talk to Jay Halstead."
"Yeah, he's here." Erin stated.
"Who is it?" Jay asked quietly.
"Chief Solomon," Erin whispered.
"Hello, sir."
"I have called to inform you that you have been honorably discharged. It was great working with you, have a nice life."
"Thank you, sir. You, too." Jay hung up.
"What was that about?"
"I'm home for good." Jay smiled.
"Really?" Erin cheered. "Welcome back!"
"Thank you. It's good to be back."
"So..." Erin started. "Do you wanna try for a baby when you're better?"
