"I'm good, it isn't that deep. I just want to see my husband," She breathed out.

She placed her jacket onto the wound and kept pressure on it as she sat down waiting for Jay to approach her. Her neck was still bleeding but she didn't care. She didn't want to go to the hospital. Not yet. Not ever.

"Erin!" Jay called, running up the steps.

Everyone looked confused. No one could believe their eyes, but the first thing Erin did was release the jacket. And jump into his arms.

"One day," Erin started.

"One day is finally here, Erin." Jay kissed her.

"Okay, now Halstead. Before you say hello to us and everything and explain to us why you aren't dead, take your wife, so I hear, to the hospital," Atwater suggested.

"Why, what happened?" He asked.

"I kind of... got stabbed and, ya know, the occasional neck cut," Erin brushed it off like it was nothing.

"Okay, to the hospital we go."

"Yeah, I'm just gonna..., take..., a little nap...," Erin breathed, shutting her eyes as she fell into his arms.

"There's an ambulance waiting outside. She wanted to wait for you," Voight explained.

"You should've forced her to go," Jay exclaimed. He picked her up and carried her out to the paramedics who were headed in. "She's right here. Help her, please."

"Jay, I'm fine," She exhaled, her eyes still shut. "The kids, go be with them."

"I'm right behind you, Erin. I'm right behind you," He stated as they loaded her up into the ambulance and shut the doors.

He ran inside and hurried up the steps to go see his children. Once he did that, he explained he was going to the hospital and Burgess and Ruzek said they could babysit while everyone was at the hospital.

Voight rode with Jay to the hospital and on the ride there, Voight caught Jay up on everything he'd missed.

The car jerked to a stop as Jay flung the door open and ran inside. When he did so, he caught Will's attention and his brother was shook.

"Jay?" Will asked.

"Where is she? Where's Erin?" Jay frantically searched.

"She's okay. They took her to the OR, she's gonna be fine. Jay, how are you here, alive...? We buried you. You're dead...," Will shook his head in disbelief.

"I'm not, brother," Jay stated and he hugged his brother.

"Have you told Kate, yet?" Will questioned.

"Not yet. Can you call her and tell her to get here, please?"

"I sure can," Will smiled. "It is good to have you back, bro."

"It's good to be back," Jay responded.
