Finding Peace (In NaLu)

Chapter 1

Lucy's POV

*alarm goes off*

I slowly wake up when I see the time is 8:47.

Shit. Shit. Shit. Today's the day. And I already slept in.

I get up and see that I have 10 miss calls from Levy McGarden, one of my best friends.

I quickly grab my phone and call her back as I put the phone close to my ear, I internally prepare myself for the loudest scream I'll probably ever hear.

" Auuuuuuuuuggghhh. This is THE day why wouldn't you pick up your phone? " she screamed in my ear.

I hesitated a little and made a decision to just tell her the truth.

" I might have slept in alittle." I say wincing after every word.

There's a long silence then I hear her sigh. I can just imagine her face palming on the other side of the phone.

" well hurry up because our salon appointments are at 10:15 and we have to go run errands with cana. "

" ok. Just give me 10 minutes." I say regretting my time limit.

"If we weren't in such a rush I would give you the whole year, because I know you need it." She said while laughing.

" Just meet us at Wendy's house. In less than an hour ok? " she added quickly.

"Ok will do." I said before hanging up. Then I almost immediately set a timer for 30 minutes.

I cannot believe today is actually prom. Because it's a Saturday, I accidentally slept in but I know I'll make the best of it.
"Yaaaaaaaaasssss" I scream.

My dad must be so annoyed. But hey, it's the day. Ahhh life is soo great right now.

I got up from my bed and rushed to the bathroom to get ready.

After showering, I brush my teeth and head out to chose my outfit for the day. I grab a pink T-shirt and my new favorite Jean shorts I quickly put
On my white vans. Then i stop to look at the timer which is at fourteen minutes and thirty-seven seconds.
" Wow that's a new record. " I whisper.
I grab my purse and head out the door.
Just when I got down the long stairs I saw my mother who just got back from her business trip.
" oh my god, mom?" My jaw was literally dropped.
" hi sweety. I came back a little early. " she says as she spread her arms. I ran and hugged her like a little kid.

I am so happy my mom is here. I know she had one of the best proms ever so I hope she can help in some way. And plus I don't get to see her often so today must be a miracle.

A few seconds later my dad and my little brother, happy, joined the hug and we stayed there until I remember my timer.
"I'm on a bit of a schedule sorry mom."

" oh no, you think I don't know what today is." She says in a serious tone.
Then I hear an almost silent squeal.
She breaks into a giggle and pinching my cheeks. "Today's your prom right?" She says.

I slowly nod my head. Sometimes my family is too supportive. As I turn my head I see my dad and my little brother grinning and holding a big banner that reads "go get em' tiger"
I slowly turn to my mother who is near tears as she whispers "good luck". As I walk closer for a hug, I get startled when my timer goes off.
" Yeah I have to leave before Levy kills me. " I say with a chuckle.

"Well make sure you come home so we can take photos." My dad says with a smirk.

"Oh and honey, make sure Sting knows what time to meet you here.
