Chapter 11

Lucy's pov

Wow. My life just fell apart. I knew we'd fall apart sooner or later.

I sit on a near bench and hug my knees. I'm still in my cotton nike shorts and my tank top.

How did I expect to come back to my life as it was before?

Then I see a blonde man running up to me. As he gets closer I start to make up his face. If I didn't know any better I'd say I knew him. But he's so handsome.

Do I know him? He looks frighteningly familiar.

"Lucy, " he says panting.

"What are you doing out here? In the rain and stuff?"

"I'm sorry do I know yo-"

He slowly looks at me confused. He's talking to me so casually we must have met before. Maybe on one of the airplanes or maybe....

" Sting, Sting Eucliffe. Remeber we dated in highschool?"

I suddenly feel my heart literally break. Did I just hear him correctly?
He looks soo different maybe his shorter hair. Maybe his manlier face. Maybe his abs-

"Oh great, what do you want?"

Seriously, my day is just getting worse and worse.

"Um... Natsu told me you'd be out here so I came out to loo-"

"What do you really want?" I say inturrupting him. He cannot be seriously talking to me right now.

"Wanna grab a coffee?"

What kind of satanic bullshit is he trying to pull right now?

"Is that your way of apologizing?"

"It's a yes or no question." He says smiling.

Well it is cold out here. "Sure I mumble." Standing up and stretching.

As soon as we walk in the café the warm air hits me in the face. Ahh.

"Do you want anything?" He breaks my thought.

"I'll just have anything." I say with a blank face. I can't show him any emotions until I find out what he wants from me.

He puts down two coffees and gives me a tiny wrinkly paper.

"That's my new number... uh I
came to explain myself. You know.... for leaving you two years ago."

"What is it? Money? Food? What do you need from me? I literally just got back from a relaxing vacation and today is my first day back and I don't need any more bad news." I can't even control what I'm saying right now. I'm so tired I'm just talking but I seriously think I have trust issues.

"Lucy calm down. Hopefully you won't get upset after what I say."
His grin gets wider.

"I'm here to come clean." He says still smiling.

What? Is he crazy or is he begging for a slap to the face.

"What are you talking about sting?"

"I didn't have a cousin named Tammy and I admit that. And I .. know what I did was unforgivable. You should know that the reason that all this happened was because I joined the military. I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you giving up your dream of astronomy to follow me. Leaving you was the worst mistake of my life. I've been looking for you ever since then and I just can't beleive you're right here in front of me."
