Chapter 12

LUCY'S POV

so tired. I spent the last four days with Cana Alberona. She insisted on it after she saw me leave Wendy's dorm at two in the morning. I could have stayed only for a day since Juvia and I were supposed to get our room that afternoon.. . I just needed time away from the girls, especially in case Natsu stopped by.

I've been handing out invitations to people in the lobby today. My engagement party is tomorrow afternoon and I'm so ready.

I take a deep breath as I knock on Wendy's dorm.

"There you are." Juvia says as i walk into the dorm. Levy shyly waves.

"We were worried sick about you yesturday. Wendy told me you came in last night but by the time I got here you were gone." Juvia says while hugging me.

I must not forget my purpose here.

Juvia and levy look at me funny as I hand them the last invitations. Wendy kind of backs away.

"What the hell is this?" Wendy says sounding a bit distracted.

"Yeah, Lucy. We turn our heads for five seconds and you get engaged?" Juvia says while examining the ring.

"Lucy, I apologized for not waiting so you don't have to do this... Sting? really? You didn't see him for two whole years and all of a sudden you want to marry him?"
Wendy catches my attention.

"What are you talking about?"

"You're trying to get revenge on me for not inviting you to her's right?" Is she seriously saying I'm doing out of anger?

" Look, I'm definitely not doing this out of revenge."

" I never knew you were the jealous type. " Wendy adds.

I look at them and for a second they look like strangers.

"Guys, I know this is a bit too sudden but don't accuse her of those things." Juvia defends me.

"No, its fine. I thought we were best friends but I guess not. They can't even accept that someone actually loves me." I say trying to stay calm.

As I open the door someone pulls My sweater I turn to see Juvia near tears.
"Don't leave lucy, they're just worried." She says.

"Don't appropriate their behaviors, Juvia." I look back at her.

" Fine, let me come with you." I don't want Juvia picking sides.

I continue walking out and close the door. If she follows me it's her choice, she's grown.

Where am I even going?

I'm almost near the elevator as I hear footsteps behind me.

"Juvia, you don't have to pick sides." I say turning around.

" Wow, you just have the worst luck don't you?" I hear a manly voice. I turn to see the jerk and owner of the voice.

"What do you want, you poo-poo head?" I say turning back around.

As soon as the elevator opens I look back to see if he's going to follow.

"Follow me."

"I don't follow strangers." I say turning back around.

"I've got a wedding gift for you."

"Leave me alone, Natsu. I don't want anything from you."

"Trust me you'll love it." He says walking away. I should find out but I'm just too angry.
