Chapter 34

Natsu's POV

Everyone was starting to leave if they hadn't already. I was starting to freak out.

After mom called and said to keep everyone there, people left at an even faster rate.

I cleared my throat as I walked up the stairs of the stage.

I heard a faint "WAKE UP" but I ignored it. No distractions.

" Hey guys, there has been a short delay. Try and stay as long as you can.." I managed.

I looked at the somewhat large but familiar crowd. They stared back unwillingly. " booo!" Gray screamed.

I got off the stage and sat down next to Happy, who was too busy ignoring Carla.

" I just want to sleep." He squeaked.

Then I heard Gray's voice say. "You've had enough sleep."

I felt too sick but just shook it off.

LUCY'S POV

When I woke up, I was on my bed again. With Juvia hovering over me.

"What happened to me?" I asked.

"You just confess-

" Nothing happened. You just fell asleep. You're probably sleep deprived." Mrs. dragneel interrupted.

WAKE UP LUCY

I heard Juvia's voice.

"I am awake, juvia." I said as I looked around.

She was reading a magazine as she looked around with me.

"What are you going on about?" She said in a more clearer voice.

I shook my head in confusion. I could almost swear that she was telling me to wake up a few seconds ago.

"Maybe you're just imagining things from fainting earlier." She said as she turned the page.

For some reason I had an urge to call Natsu. My heart started to hurt.

I grabbed my phone and I dialed his number for the sake of my pride.

I got up tiptoed to the bathroom and slowly closed the door shut. Nobody needed to hear this conversation.

After mentally rehearsing it multiple times, I put the phone to my ear.

Here's what I will say.

Natsu's POV

I started to doze off when I heard my ring tone.

When I saw Lucy's name, I freaked out and nearly dropped my phone.

People were looking at me and giving me the motion to keep quiet.

I got up and walked to the bathroom again.

Looked at myself in the mirror. Took a deep breath and answered the call.

Here goes nothing.

{Natsu} " Hello."

{Natsu } "Hello?" I asked, if your going to call at least say something.

{And she hung up.}

"Ooookkaaay?" I shut my phone off.

As I looked in the mirror, I felt pain in my heart. Or my stomach, that cookie I ate earlier wasn't enough...

Everything was going wavy as if I was looking in some kind of circus mirror.

I rinsed my face about five times.

Then from the corner of my eye, I saw Sting.

As if that was bad enough, Lucy was calling back.

I had a faint urge to roll my eyes at him.

I rinsed my face once more and answered.

{Natsu} "Hello "

* silence *

{Natsu} "Hell-
{Lucy} "Natsu, is it really you?"
{Natsu} "I mean you called my phone so-
{Lucy}"Shut up you raisin!"

And with that she hung up again.

There he was, Sting, staring at me through the mirror. As I looked up he flashed a smile and kept walking to a stall.

I felt faint again. And with just my luck, Lucy called, again.

{Natsu } "Hell-
{Lucy} "sorry for hanging up I was just a little frustrated."
{Natsu} why were you frustrated, you just called me a dried piece of fruit." I retorted.

She giggled. I felt relief rushing at me all of a sudden.

{Lucy} "Listen, natsu. I... think I... maybe like... like you." She said in a serous tone.

{Natsu}"Wait what?"

Then before I knew it everything went dark and blury.

And Sting came rushing towards me.
