JUVIA'S POV

"Wow, even after two years you still manage to get him in trouble." Lisanna said, folding her arms.

"Personally, I knew something like this would happen. He's always acting childish." I reminded her.
She's all worked up and angry for no reason.

" well it could have been worse, Lucy." Erza says while patting Lucy who is mindlessly driving.

"I know but its so weird how all of that happened in a matter of seconds. We were literally racing like the good old days a like ten minutes ago."

"Trust me, after knowing Natsu for as long as I did, I know that he's tougher than that. And plus, he said he was fine." Gray added while squeezing my hand.

"Yeah." Jellal agreed.

The whole rest of the ride was in silence. I don't even know why Lucy is making such a big deal out of scratches on his back. The dude said he was fine yet she's acting like he's in a coma or something.

As soon as Lucy parked she just sat there looking weird so I had no choice. Everyone got out and headed towards the door and Gray stood at the door for me.

"Well are you coming?" He smirked.

"No you go along. Seriously, go ahead... Just follow Lisanna." Lisanna sighed and speed walked towards the hospital.

I got out and sat in the passenger's seat. "Lucy, it's not your fault." Lucy sat there with her head down.

" What are you talking about? I'm just tired. You should be telling that to Lisanna though." She looked out the window and smiled.

"Well, those two clearly have a ton to discuss anyways. Don't feel like you owe her an apology for anything." I reminded her.

"Aren't they together? I have to at least apologize. I mean, I would feel like crap if it were Stin-, you get my point right?"

She then got a text notification. She checked it immediately and started listening again.

I shook my head silently." Natsu doesn't think you're at fault, And they aren't even serious... Gray told me they were just friends and guildmates. So-"
I drifted off.

I saw her eyes widen as I said that.

"I have something to take care of first, I'll be back." She said convincingly.
I looked at her for a second and she was so happy and jumpy. Maybe it was something I said...

" OK. Stay safe... I guess." I walked out the car. I don't even know what room I'm going to ... Then I got out my phone and started calling Gray.

LUCY'S POV

I drove to the café where Sting and I got engaged he told me to meet him here for something.

I looked around the café until I saw him. I walked over and sat silently.

"You wanted to see me?" I said happily and nervously.

"Yeah. I have some things to tell you." And he cleared his throat.

"If its that The whole marriage thing was arranged by our parents, I know."
I blurted out.

"That's not what I was going to- but yeah they kept encouraging me to propose, which I was planning to do when you got back bu- " he looked at me strangely.

"Why wouldn't you tell me?"

"Because our parents told me not to..." he said bluntly.

OK Lucy keep your cool-girl attitude.

" well regardless, I'm okay with it." I said as I reached for his hand.

" well I'm not. It took me some time to think about it, and I'm sure I was ready but now I'm having regrets and there's only two days left until the wedding." He looked so hopeless.

"You're having second thoughts.... And you had two years to think about this? I've accepted it in less than a day. "

" not everyone is sure of what they want." He said, kind of mechanically.

"why didn't you call off the wedding? I looked at him blankly.

" because I love you, calling it off would break anything we ever had."

"Anything we 'had'. You don't even love me at least not anymore. You love the idea of the 'us' from high school. And I respect our parents' decisions but when its this big, we both should've been informed."

I glared at him and his gaze was fixed on a blonde girl not far behind me.
He's clearly not ready for such a commitment.

"I agree. let's take some time to think about what we're getting ourselves into. " he said, half mindedly.

And with that we shook hands and walked out together. "Thanks for understanding" I said, a bit upset.

" I should be saying that to you."he replied. We did an awkward hug and walked our separate ways.

Just what we needed. Temporary closure.
