Natsu's POV

I started to panic after about ten minutes. Lucy was better off on her own but maybe I should see her one more time. Just in case she was in danger.

So there I was driving around the neighborhood in the middle of the night looking for Lucy. I wanted to drive away but I felt almost a magnetic urge to keep looking.

after the third time circling the block, I decided to just walk. Maybe there was something I was missing. Maybe she was behind a car and I was driving too fast to see her walk out from behind the car.

I circled the whole block and made it near the vacation house. Maybe she made it back safe, I just needed to check.

I was making my way towards the porch when I heard quiet sniffling and creaking noises. when I made my way up, the sniffling got even louder and i saw a figure sitting on the coral coast.

I turned on my Phone flashlight and I saw her. Her blonde hair and her brown eyes. She was wiping tears from her eyes left and right.

"Luce." I started. I didn't even know what I wanted to say. Or what I should have.

she ran up to me and hugged me, nearly knocking me down.

"Natsu..." she tried to whisper but it just came out as a mumble.

Lucy's POV

Natsu was there finally. It seemed as if all my problems faded away for eternity. Why did he have to make things so much easier?

I didn't even want sting seeing me like this. And for the sake of my sanity, I nearly hugged the life out of Natsu.

I felt him hug me back and just for the moment, I felt like everything was fine.

"Lucy, don't you know everyone has been looking all over for you?" he broke the silence.

I didn't care. He was the only one I wanted to find me.

I let go of him and I saw the sadness in his eyes. What happened to the good old days?

"Lucy we have to get you back inside." He tried to pull my hand but I resisted.

I was not in the mood to see anyone but him and I wanted to let him know.

Natsu's POV

"Luce they need to know you're alri-" before I finished my sentence Lucy pulled my face towards hers and kissed me.

I tried to free myself but it felt so right. When I pushed her away, I examined her face and decided how pathetic she must have thought I was. I backed up and made my way down the stairs.

"you know what? Tell your fiancé I said hi." I said my final words and left.

I didn't know where this feeling of anger even came from.

Lucy's POV - the next day

When I woke up, Juvia and Mrs. Dragneel were hovering over me. "finally, you're up." Juvia pointed at my dress, which was hanging on the door.

"We've got hurry up. You're almost late to your own wedding." Mrs. Dragneel whined.

Oh crap. How did I over sleep? I set like nineteen alarms.

"okay let me get ready", I rushed into the bathroom.

Natsu's POV

Everyone was cheering and I was once again in deep thought. Gray kept straightening his tux like crazy. Gajeel was giving a pep talk to Levy.

Almost everyone was there except the couple who were getting married. It was no surprise that Lucy was late because that's the only thing you could ever predict about her.

After I finally escaped to the bathroom I felt the tension release itself.

I couldn't get out of the bathroom. Part of me didn't want to see Lucy get married. This is why I didn't want to be a groomsman.

I washed my face over and over, but I was awake, very awake.

Lucy's POV

By the time I was ready, we were ten minutes late. "If we take the highway we would be even later." Mrs. Dragneel was talking on the phone.

Juvia was also panicking over the phone. "It's fine, we can just say it was a special surprise. Just distract them for now. Call sting and ask him where the hell he could be at a time like this."

I still looked like a mess and it was very obvious I was in a rush.

Nervous wreck, some called it.

Natsu's POV

"What do you want me to do? Show them magic tricks?" I heard Gray as he entered the bathroom.

" okay whatever." Gray, hung up.

he took a second to look at me funny and finally asked, "why do you look like you just got a tomato thrown at your face?"

"Shut the hell up, that's why." I pushed the faucet lever down.

"whatever." He said, as I made my way past him.

To my surprise Lucy and Sting were still not there. I sighed in relief and walked back over to the dessert table. My eyes kept drooling over this big eye candy of a cake, but so did Erza's. "don't you dare!" she said with lust in her eyes. I was pretty sure she was talking to herself.

I rolled my eyes and hid my interest. Before anyone noticed, I sneaked a cookie.

" How are you so hungry after the breakfast you had today?" Happy crept up from behind me.

I shrugged and kept eating.

"fair enough. You're so persuasive." he grabbed a cookie and started nibbling it.

for the longest second ever, I wasn't focused on the wedding, or what happened last night.
