Natsu's POV
Lisanna chugged her cup of wine. She raised her eyebrow and looked from Lucy to me and chugged it again.
I couldn't take it anymore. It was eating me up inside. Everyone was talking and laughing and eating and I couldn't utter a word.
I felt guilty for a crime that I didn't even commit. Lisanna kept laughing and smiling. She kept looking from me to Lucy. Almost as if she was silently judging us.
Lucy was probably upset with me because she kept holding on to sting and avoiding eye contact.
I didn't even mind Lisanna I was more worried about Lucy. At least her anger made sense.
" excuse me." I whispered. Nobody even noticed.
I got up and went outside. I felt all the tension of the night escape. It was a bit breezy but it was just what I needed. Fresh air.
I heard footsteps behind me and I turned around to find Lucy as still as a statue.
" Hey Natsu?." I heard Lucy's voice behind me.
" let's get outta here." She said, almost in a whisper.
Her eyes were filled with tears.
Lucy's POV
I couldn't take it anymore. I felt the uncomfortable air in there and decided it was better to just leave.
I just needed one more day away from this life that I will live for probably the rest of my life.
Natsu was silent. He just kept staring at me, and I felt it.
Sting was even worse because he wasn't giving me any attention at all. He just talked. A lot. Every time I said something, he didn't look my way. I was beginning to feel unwanted.
Natsu got up and left the restaurant. It got quiet for a few seconds but then went back to normal. Everyone was laughing and talking but I could tell nobody wanted to be here, not even me.
So I got up and followed Natsu. There must have been something wrong after all.
When I saw him standing there I felt nervous and everything collapsed on me. I didn't know what to say or do. Should I just head back in? How would I even approach him?
Then it was too late he turned his head and saw me.
At first I didn't want to move in hopes he couldn't recognize me in the darkness. Then I felt a lingering feeling that seemed pathetic. There was no other solution.
" hey, Natsu?" I whispered. I was going to ask him if he was alright but I was rendered speechless.
" let's get gotta here. " I changed the subject.
