Chapter 27

Natsu's POV

Before I opened the car door, Juvia called out to me. " You know you don't have to leave."

" no it's fine I have something to take care of." I yelled back.

" no it's not. You have something to take care of here." She dragged me inside.

When I looked around I spotted Lisanna laying on the couch next to Cana.

" I heard she said some pretty nasty things but I don't think she meant it." Juvia interrupted my thought.

" Cana always said that being drunk doesn't make you lie it makes you courageous to tell the ugly truth." I reminisced.

" okay but can you please go with each other to the wedding? We can't find any other groomsmen and none that she would accept.

Lisanna rolled her eyes and folded her arms.

Lucy's POV

" okay here's your order." The waitress put down our meals.

We waited for her to leave and he started texting again." I still have two more questions."

" okay." I said awkwardly. Everything was going perfect. I was getting to know him more but for some reason I didn't want to. I already knew most of the things and he hasn't changed much since highschool.

The only thing that was weird was that he kept smiling and texting someone.

Then I started to feel sick. I Started to have flashbacks. He used to do this before he broke up with me in highschool.

" I need fresh air. " I lied.

He nodded his head and didn't look up. He did a little wave and went back to texting.

" Can you please look at me?" I scowled. I didn't want to sound like a control freak but something had to be done.

He put his phone down and raised is eyebrows.

" we didn't even finish the game we started like twenty minutes ago." I said in a louder voice.

People started to stare and whisper.
" Is your phone really that important that you can't even have a decent conversation with me?" I folded my arms.

" Maybe we'll just have to wait until after we're married to get to know each other." He said, almost in a whisper.

" I well I'm gonna go." I walked towards the door. On my way to the door I saw a familiar face. Lisanna.

She was wearing a daring summer dress and a straw hat. And by her side was Natsu in a suit.

He looked pretty good. They walked through the door and spotted me. " Hey Lucy, I'm a bridesmaid." Lisanna hugged me.

I could tell she was intoxicated from her smell. I awkwardly hugged her back. Maybe my invitation made her excited. Soon all our friends were here.

We all sat at the table and talked for a long time. Even sting was joining the conversations but I was feeling kind of jealous. It almost felt like they were hogging him away.

Natsu was quiet. That was the first time I experienced such a rare event but part of me felt bad.
