Chapter 40

* we left off with Juvia telling lucy a heartfelt secret and Natsu was hinted to leave.

Natsu's POV

I was behind the door as I waited for lucy.

Maybe I should just let them talk.

No. What kind of Natsu would I be if I actually respected Lucy's privacy.

I stood behind the door and I started to hear muffling and sniffing from Juvia.

I got the chills even realising that she had feelings.

I couldn't take anymore.

Could she get to the point any slower?

Even my right foot strted to numb because of how long I stood there.

The numbing intensified. I heard Gray's voice in my head.

"Hey, hot-head, get up already." That moment everything started to get blurry.

Gray?

Dizziness surounded me. Whoa.

I felt like I was being caught in a turnado. Of course I didn't know what that felt like, but it was close enough.

I had a huge headache, everything was gone, and there was only darkness. Nothing more.

What the hell?

"Wake up."

"Hey, wake up you two."

"Yeah, come on."

   thump

- flight. "

"Late"

"Wake"

"Wrong"

Thump Thump

"What if"

"Do you think"

"Lucy"

"Lucy"

Thump Thump

"Lucy"

"Lucy"

"Idiots."

"Look!"

I started to hear bits and pieces of the conversation.  What was going on.

Why are all of my friends talking at the same time.

But most importantly, where did everything go?

Just as the darkness started to fade into light, I found myslef opening my eyes.

And what I saw was hard to describe.

LUCY'S POV

"SO?"

I tried to get Juvia to clarify what she was saying to me.

" Juvia, come on."

" We're gonna miss -

"Miss what?" I interrogated her.

Every other word she said was going into a muffle.

" our flight. " She stopped answering me and started stating things.

" Juvia, I thought we were conversing."

" We are gonna miss -

"Let me guess, our flight?"

"Our flight." She said, monotonously

" Lucy, wake up." She yelled.

" Lucy, come on."

" We are gonna miss-

She paused, Blinked at me, then continued.

"Our flight."

"Juvia, snap out of it."

I reached out for her hand.

She then put both of her hands on my shoulders and started to shake me.

" Lucy."

Then I went into a dark state. Everything was dark, but there was nothing to see.

It was a mixture of darkness and emptiness.

There was a brown chair.

My body moved on its own and sat down. 

Then I started having deep thoughts. What did this mean.

What the heck was going on.

I was near tears and was terrified. Darkness was my #1 fear, then being alone.

Everything I ever avoided was happening.

I found myself crying. And then.

Boom.

I started to hear thunder. I was soaked in a matter of seconds.

It started to get worse and worse until I almost burst into nothingness. I was gone.

The chair was missing.

The thunder was silent.

And I no longer felt alone.

I felt. Company.

I felt a warm embrace as the darkness ceased to be.

What the hell.

Was all I could think.

Nothing made sense. I was just with Juvia. Where did she go.

I felt every pinch of loneliness fade away. But I was still crying.

More like Tears of joy.

"Natsu." I randomly screamed.

No sound.

My voice was gone too. But I felt myself saying his name in my heart.

Natsu.
