Once on the train we all sit down on the sofa opposite to each other, tributes on the one side and mentors & escort on the other side. I never let go of Peeta's hand and I always keep him as close to me as possible. I look at him, give him a kiss on the cheek and then turn back to look at the tributes. "OK, so as you all know this year the games could last for a maximum of around 6 months. As you know there are 96 tributes plus a special (most likely evil) twist, you lot need to be the strongest if you want to survive," I say give them all a stern look.
"Peeta, will be in charge of training new tributes when they come in. Katniss, will be looking and trying to gather some sponsors for you throughout the games and Haymitch will go back to 12 with me when the games officially begin." Effie says before walking out of the cart to see how everything is going in the other rooms. We all sit there in an awkward silence until Finn gets up and jumps onto Peeta's lap before cuddling into him.
"Why don't the rest of you go and get washed and changed for dinner" I say breaking the silence and getting up to show the other tributes their rooms. But before leaving I turn around to see Peeta and Finn arm in arm, comforting each other. I don't know how Peeta is going to cope with this but sure at the moment he'll want to spend as much time with Finn as possible.

Peeta's POV

I hold onto Finn as tightly as I could not ever wishing to let go of him. With Finn being the youngest of mine and Katniss' children I can't let him see me upset, I need to get him through these games unharmed but also protect Rose back at home as much as I possibly can. I can't help but notice the worried frown on Finn's face so I lean down to kiss his forehead just as Katniss re-enters the room with a little black bag in the grasp of her hand. She takes a seat beside Finn and turned to nod at me. "I've got something for you Finn that I didn't want to give you in front of the other tributes." A little smile comes onto Finn's face like all the worry has melted away. Katniss loosens the grasp on the bag and opens it up to reveal a small golden pin exactly identical to the one Katniss had worn during her times in the Arena. "It's a Mocking Jay pin and as long as you wear it nothing bad will happen to you." She adds as she attaches the pin to Finn's shirt.
"Thank you Mommy, Thank you Daddy" He cheers as Charlie enters the room.
"Oh Charlie, just the person we wanted to see" I call out to him as he comes closer. "Could you take Finn to his room and help him clear up please for dinner?"
"Yes course" Charlie replies taking Finn's hand and leading him out the room.

We sit quietly until Charlie and Finn were out of sight before I ask Katniss "Where did you get a second Mocking Jay pin from I thought you couldn't find anymore as they were extremely rare.
"Remember when I told you I wanted to find something very special that we could all have and we could keep it even when we are separated," She starts. "Well I thought that we could all have a Mocking Jay pin each as we both know it is something very close to our hearts but it encloses dreadful memories. But then I though these types of pins are very rare and it may be impossible to find anyone, so I had a great idea. I went to the Jewellers and got my old pin melted down..."
"YOU WHAT!" I say shocked by what she had just told.
"I'm not finished yet!" She continues "With the melted-down gold, I had 4 smaller Mocking Jay pins made, so we could each have part of the original pin. This meant each of the individual smaller pins would have a meaning and they are linked together in so many ways. I gave Rose hers before we left for the Capitol a couple of hours ago and Finn now has his, so that leaves me and you." Katniss finishes revealing 2 other Mocking Jay Pins from the black bag and hands one to me.
"Thank you Katniss, it's...Beautiful" I say attaching the pin to my jacket while Katniss did the same to hers. "We better get ready for dinner too" I say taking hold of Katniss' hand and walking off to our room to get changed.

At dinner, we all gather at a large rectangular table. I sit between Katniss and Finn and try to make polite conversation with everyone else.
"When will we get to the Capitol?" Charlie says eager to see what he will be up against.
"We should be there by tomorrow morning and then it's straight to the prep teams." Effie says planning out the day's schedules in her mind. "So I want you all to make sure you have a good night's sleep we have an extremely busy day tomorrow."
"Ok, we will," they all reply together. The rest of the dinner is all very quiet and calm. No one makes a noise, no one says a word. After dinner everyone heads back to their rooms and tries to get as much sleep as the can.

The next morning I'm up very early. I leave Katniss sound asleep in bed while I get up, washed and dressed and went to check if anyone else is awake. Within the next 1/2 hour, Katniss is awake, dressed and Effie is in our room ushering us to go and wake up the tributes. It's not an easy task (especially the teenagers) but we did it and managed to get everyone to the breakfast table to quick have some breakfast before we arrived at the Capitol. Once breakfast was over we all get up and head over to the sofas to talk about the plans for the day, when finally it's in plain view for everyone to lay their eyes on. "Wow it's amazing, so big, so... Amazing!" Selina says running up to the window with several other tributes. They are quickly followed by the other tributes, the mentors and escort too. Soon we are all waving like anything at the crowd trying to make a good impression. Quickly everyone is taken off the train and we and separated from Finn for the very first time, hoping the stylists can work their magic on him and the other tributes as well as the previous stylists had done for myself and Katniss.
