What's a label?
Only a part of who we are
A word
That can be used to hurt
Or for good
That can always be misunderstood.

To those who don't know
What we want
It's so confusing
Trying to find the one for me
Am I too old to figure it out?
I always liked people for who they are
For what's in their heart
Looks help
But it's not at the top of the list
There's a word for this
I just found it
I just hid
Stuck to the usual
Stuck to what I knew.
Guess I'll have to figure it all out
Hope I'm happier when it's done
Maybe I'll be complete
Knowing what's really going on within me.
