words in a book

We were asked to write
Memories of a man
That all of us cared for
And only I wrote.

At the end of the day
That says a lot
The least you could do
Was help his kids out
The two people he lived for
He did so much for us
But for them so much more.

Maybe it was too hard
I found the words from somewhere
Maybe you feel like you've moved on
And it would be a step backwards.
It wouldn't have taken a lot of time
Saying what was on your mind
But I did
And I said it all
Not one word was left out.
