Chapter 29

*Shay's P.O.V*

I woke up today dreading it like I've been for the past two weeks. Today is the spring dance, and I gotta tell you, people go big for it. Not simple casual dresses, you gotta go big or you going home. I don't mind, that's kinda my style. Go big or go home. But I didn't wanna go, especially because Ryder won't be there. He's in a coma, and he has been for the past two weeks. I've been spending my nights crying my eyes out. I would still go to school, but I wouldn't talk at all. I wouldn't answer questions, nothing. The only people I exchanged words with are the guys, my cousin, Nicki, and my parents of course. We've also been visiting Ryder's Parents. While they would talk, I would just go up the stairs and lay on his bed trying not to cry. Ryder has a baby sister now, but he doesn't know it since he's in a coma which is awfully depressing. I haven't been going out either, even thought they've been trying to get me to leave my room. They went out for pizza last week, or so I thought. Instead they got the pizza and came to my house and ate with me. It's the second week and I haven't left the house at all. I've been visiting Ryder but it's been three days since I went. My dad said I should stop going because it's only hurting me more. I laid on my bed not wanting to move, but I probably should get up before Nicki comes over. They wanted to get ready with me, well..they wanted to get me ready since they both know I don't wanna go. I groaned and jumped into the shower and then put on tank top and shorts. I walked down the stairs and said good morning to my parents and put Aidan on my lap.

"Are you going to the Dance tonight?" My mom asked for the kitchen.

"Yeah, even though I really don't want too!" I said

"Why?" She asked

"Don't worry, you'll have a great time and then after that we will take you to go see Ryder! Now bye loves, I'm late for work!" My dad said running down the stairs and kissing my mom goodbye.

"BYEEE!" I Called out. Aria then walks down the stairs and rubs her eyes. Man this girl always wakes up late but so do I so I shouldn't be talking. She looks at the clock and then runs back up the stairs and into the shower. Curious, I look at the clock also. 4?! ITS 4 PM?! OH MY GOSH!

"MOM! Why didn't you wake us?!" I asked and she just giggled.

"Sorry honey, I just came home. I was at brunch with Aidan and his parents!" She said and I smiled. I'm glad we all getting along.

*Nicki's P.O.V*

I woke up and opened my phone and saw dozen texts from miles. Man this boy gets so bored he starts to bug me.

Man, I woke up so early I'm actually so tired
OMG ITS 4, I GTG THE GUYS ARE WAITING BYE I LOVE YOU

4? No way! I looked at the time and I jumped out of bed.

"KATE WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME?!" I asked as I jumped into the bathroom.

"SORRY HONEY! I WAS OUT GROCERY SHOPPING!" She called back. I took a shower and then collected my things and put them in my bag and I ran down the stairs. These past two weeks have been crazy. Ryder is in a coma and Shay has been a complete mess. My uncle Robert came and took the children and now they're on the other side of the planet I don't even know. I stuffed pancakes in my mouth and rushed out the door. I jumped into my car and drove off to Shay's house. We have 2 hours to get ready oh my gosh. I'm really not a big fan of dresses but I am a big fan of getting girly for dances or weddings etc. I parked my car and I knocked on the door and Shay opened. I still wasn't even done my pancake. She smiled and let me in and we sat on the couch.

"Where is Aria?"

"She's taking a shower"

"NO IM NOT IM DONE!" She yelled from the top of the stairs. We laughed at her and I put Aidan down and we rushed up the stairs. We ran into Shay's room, well she moped behind. I grabbed her arm and pulled her into the room and sat her down on the bed.

"ARIA YOU ARE FIRST!" Shay called out. Guess she is. Aria has natural straight blond hair, so we decided to curl it. Shay began curling Her hair while I started on her make up. She's wearing a cute blue dress with black on on the top. All our dresses are kinda simple so we sent for simple look. I put her on red lipstick, mascara, eyeliner and blush. I put some sliver eyeshadow too but not too much. Shay was almost done her hair too. She piled up the curls onto each other and it looked so adorable! After she was done, Aria went and put on her dress and she looked so beautifully amazing. Woah, she looked stunning.

"wow! Aria, you know you look good in bright colours! Not just black!" Shay said. Aria rolled her eyes and I laughed.

"Shay it's your tu-"

"NOPE YOUR TURN!" Shay cut me off. Oh my goodness.

"After Nicki you have to promise it's your turn!" Aria said.

"I promise!" She groaned. Shay is so stubborn sometimes. I sat on the ground while Aria did my make up and shaw did my hair. Shay straightened my hair and braided two thin strips on the side and pulled them to the back, she then swirled them around and made a flower in the back of my head. She pinned it down and she was done. Aria put me red maroon lipstick, mascara, eyeliner and blush and some sliver eyeshadow. Just like what I out for her. I got up and changed and then walked back into the room.

"YOU LOOK LIKE A GIRL!" Shay joked.

"No but seriously you look amazing!" She continued. I smiled and sat on the Bed.

"You look like a princess oh my!" Aria pointed out. Then we both looked at Shay.

"YOUR TURN!" We both yelled. She sat on the ground and rolled her eyes. Aria straightened her hair just to get rid of her short curls and then she curled her hair into long curls. She made a low messy bun with some girls falling into her face. She looked adorable. I put her nude lipstick, blush, eyeliner, mascara and the same eyeshadow. I looked and her and smile.

"Go change!" I said. She forced herself up and went into her moms room where her dress was. She comes back and she looks like Shay again. For the past two weeks she's been in sweats and a sweater crying her eyes out. Her hair was poofy and all over the place and her eyes were swollen. But now, she looks back to normal.

"You look beautiful!" I said

"And don't worry, you'll have fun!" Aria said.

"GIRLS! THE BOYS ARE HERE!" Shay's mom called for us. We put on our shoes and walked out. I was wearing maroon flats, and Aria and Shay were wearing black ones. We walked down the stairs and the boys smiled. I walked up to Miles and he hugged me.

"You look amazing!" He said.

"You didn't stutter this time! Good boy!" I said teasing him. He rolled his eyes and kissed my forehead. Dylan grabbed Aria's hand and kissed her cheek. I can tell he really wanted to kiss her lips but she had lipstick on AND I was death staring him. No way he's going to wreck my art work! Shay looked upset, especially because Ryder wasn't there.

"YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL STOP BEING SAD!" All the guys called out. They totally planned that. She smiled and hugged them. Tucker and Shawn hooked her arms with theirs and we head out. Time to party!
