Bad girl Meets good girl

Chapter Nine

I helped my mom set the table while Ryder played with Aidan. I watched them and I saw how fond Ryder is of Aidan. He was there that day, he was there when they first brought Aidan home. I remember that day clearly.

"Shay? Shay Montgomery, can you hear me?!" My mom's voice echoed. I snapped out of my thoughts and went to wash my hands. We all sat round the table and talked about our days.

"What did you kids do today?!"My dad asked.

"We went swimming, and then we went to the country club!" Ryder said eating his mashed potatoes.

"The Evermore's Country Club?!" My mom said, more surprised than Shawn was.

"Yeah, they had a change of heart?"I said. The rest of the dinner was filled with laughter and chatter. We finished up and Ryder and I did the dishes, and went upstairs to my room with Aidan. We changed him and put him in his crib and let him play around. I opened my laptop and he picked a movie while I made popcorn. We sat on the ground of my bed and watched the movie, well half way through the movie when I decided to talk to him about our kiss.

"Remember grade 8? When you kissed me?" I asked him and he smiled at me.

"Yes of course, how could I forget, our first kiss!" He said thinking about it.

"Why? I mean why'd you do it?" I asked and he just smiled.

"Don't worry about it!" He said. ARGH.

"TELL MEEEEE!!!" I yelled out until he finally did.

"I don't really know, I mean, I've always wanted to kiss you...I guess grade 8, I was brave enough!" He said standing up. He closed the laptop and jumped on my bed. This kid like lives here, he can shower here, walk and open the fridge, my parents don't mind! He isn't shy either! I rolled my eyes and told him to mover over and I laid beside him.

"He kissed you..?" Ryder suddenly asked.

"Yeah, he did.." I replied looking at him.

"Shay? Who was your first kiss?" He asked. He doesn't know he's mine and I didn't wanna tell him, but I guess it's time. I took a deep breath and looked at him.

"You..You were my first kiss Ryder." I said smiling.

"Darn it! I messed it up then! THAT wasn't a good first kiss now was it?!"

"I mean, I never expected it. ..aaand I didn't wanna admit it, but it was a great first kiss!" I said sitting up. He looked at me, trying to process what I said in his head.

"What if I told you, that I also kissed you because I liked you that time!" He said sitting up as well. I blushed and smiled, It went all silent until he grabbed my face and kisses Me. He pulled me closer and I wrapped my arms around him. A few more seconds went by and we pulled apart, my head was on his when I broke the silence.

"How what was that for?" I asked.

"Just wanted to kiss you again," He smiled. I stood up and whacked him with a pillow and ran out the door. I ran down the stairs with him following me and I ran into the kitchen, He followed me and whacked me with a pillow, I tried running away but he grabbed my arm and lifted me up. We turned around and saw my parents laughing.
