Chapter 37

*Aria's P.O.V*

It's been a couple weeks since Shay lost her memory, she remembers all of us now..except Ryder. He's been a mess, he's been crying all night but doesn't admit it. I can see it on his face when he comes over to spend the day with Shay. She's gotten attached all over again to him, and That's a bad thing. We do want her to remember him, but Shawn thinks it's best if she doesn't. They've been trying to keep him busy while Nicki and I keep Shay busy but that doesn't work out. Somehow Shay and Ryder always find their way back to each other, cute but bad. I finished brushing my hair and I tied it up in a pony tale. It's 8:30 pm and Shay and I are waiting for Nicki to come, we are having a sleep over. I walk down the stairs and I see Shay sitting with Aidan and she's in her onsie.. The one Ryder got her. She's playing around with her ring on her hand, she still doesn't remember who gave it to her but she loves it so much. I sighed, only if she knew.. Only if she knew him and what he was gonna do to her. I'm really close to punishing Ryder across the face, like really close but I can't do it.

"Aria..can I talk to you for a second?" Mr.Montgomery asked. I turned around and nodded.

"Yes uncle! What is it?" I replied walking into the kitchen. He hushed me and told me to keep my voice down and I understood.

"She doesn't remember him right?" He asked

"Not at all..but"

"But?"

"But, she's getting attached to him and I think she's falling in love with him all over again!" I explained

"Damn it" he whispered

"I know, that's exactly how we all feel. But Nicki and I are planing to get him off her mind" I said

And just then the door bell rang. It was Nicki!
"Speaking of the devil, hey Nicki!" I said walking towards the door. Shay and Nicki let go of their hug and Nicki hugged me.

"So, who's room for tonight?" Nicki asked and Shay smirked.

"Well, it's actually a room you've never seen before because it's well, new!" She chirped. We renovated the basement and made it so people could actually live there. It's like a whole house..except there is one room which is an office, one bathroom and the rest is an open area. We all rushed down the stairs and Nicki didn't even know what to say.

"Woah!" That was all that came out

"Woah is an understatement" I said. She placed her bag by the couch and we all sat down

"Sooooo, Shay? Who do you like?" Nicki asked. Wow, so "smoothly" not sudden at all! Shay sighed and blushed

"Well.. Ryder! I don't know much about him but I don't know, I just really like him" she said. Nicki lost her smile and so did I. Ugh I was hoping she'd say Shawn or even Tucker! We faked a smile and continued on with our girl time. Oh Shay, this is going to be really hard for you

*Shay's P.O.V*

Everyone was asleep, but i couldn't seem to shut my eyes long enough. I felt scared, I felt empty, I felt like I was missing something. I've remembered people, but not their stories.. Not how we met, not anything except who they are and what they are to me. Other than Ryder, that won't click in my head, though it's clicked in my heart that's for sure. I decided to go for a walk. I put on my shoes and grabbed my phone and slowly snuck upstairs and out the front door. I didn't walk far that's for sure, I don't remember these streets but I walked far enough to crash into someone. Ryder.

"What are you doing out so late?!" He asked. I looked at him and smiled

"You're the me to talk!" I rolled my eyes

"I'm not the one with memory loss Shay, I'm serious let me take you back home" he insisted but I refused. Me and my stubborn self. He smiled at me and we sat in the grass looking up at the skies, that's until everything went black.

I woke up the next morning in my room. That's weird, wasn't I with Ryder last night? I shrugged it off and walked down the stairs. No one from the girls was awake, typical. Mom was in the living room and dad was probably at work and Aidan was crawling around the house. I smiled and went to wash my face, I splashed water at my face and suddenly a flash of memory hit me. The ring. I don't know who gave it to me but I know the reason.

"For the one you promise to spend your whole life with"

Wow, that's beautiful. This person must have really loved me and I must have loved them back too. I have a necklace on, it's beautiful and I know who gave that to me, Ryder did. It has his name on the back of the necklace. I walked back down the stairs and kissed my mom good morning.

"I got some memory back. I know what this ring is for!" I smiled. Her mood dropped

"Oh, well do you know who gave it to you?" She slowly asked and I shook my head

"Nope but I really wanna know. We must have been in love, or it could be a best friend" I explained

"Probably a best friend honey," she smiled back at me. Nicki and Aria finally woke up and we all changed and went out. We were having breakfast with the boys, I'm pretty excited, apparently we haven't hung out all together in a while. We went to this café but so it seems I remembered it

"This is the place Teilya picked on me for Aidan being adopted and my real brother dying of cancer" I suddenly said. Everyone looked back at me shocked

"Yeah it is.. Are you okay?" Miles said placing a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him, smiled, and nodded. He let go of my shoulder and we all went and sat on a table.

It's around 9:30 pm. Everyone was at my house other than Ryder. He said he had to get a couple things and he would be back.. In the mean time I think I'm gonna tell everyone I like Ryder.

"Guys... I um, I have feelings for Ryder.." I said. Everyone looked at me but no one was surprised

"YEah no duh" Tucker said.

"YOU GUYS KNEW?!" I asked

"Yeah duh you want his -" Dylan was about to say

"DYLAN NOT NOW OMG!" Aria whacked him

"OOOUCH WOMEN!" He yelled back. Right then Ryder walked through the door, everyone stood up and hugged him. Huh?

"Shay, I love you. I love you so much you don't even know. I sometimes have trouble showing it but I love you when I wake up, when I sleep, when we fight and I love you every single second. But.. I'm leaving and I'm leaving for a long long time. I'm so sorry, but just know that I love you"

He grabbed my face and kissed me, turned around and walked out the door. Suddenly everything came back to me. Every single memory everything..

Ryder Green is my best friend and I'm in love with him.
