Chapter 17

*Shay's P.O.V*

It's been a week since Blake showed up at my door. He explained everything and I believed him. He also told me that he also has feelings for Tieyla. We both agreed to just be friends, even though I was dying to be with him. I guess that couldn't happen. My parents came back and Aidan got sick, really sick. I stayed home with him for a few days while my parents were at work. Lots of things happened in this week as well. The guys completely shut out Blake, Aria still hasn't changed. She got into a fist fight with girls, and got suspended and is home with me. Nicki, she hasn't been showing up to school, nor has she been replying to our texts and our calls, I've stared getting worried but everyone kept telling me to give her time. But today, I'm going to get house. I'm not going to wait anymore. I got changed and I told Aria to tag along even though she also said to give her time. I just needed to know if she was okay. I pulled on my vans and walked out the door behind Aria. I of course did not let her drive, even though she kept whining I just shut her out.

"What do you think happened?" Aria asked.

"I'm not entirely sure, must be something bad, we haven't even seen her around the malls and she is usually there," I explained as I pulled out of the drive way.

"Can I tell you something?" Aria asked as she turned off the music.

"Go for it,"

"I think I like Dylan..." She said and seemed like she regretted it.

"YOU HAVE A CRUSH?! YOU HAVE NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE!" I said turning the corner and parking. She blushed and she said we would talk later. We got out of the car and I was afraid to knock so Aria did instead and a boy answered.

"KATE! We have people at the door!" He said. Kate peeked out from the kitchen and welcomed us in and told us who the children were. They were their cousins, their mother died in a shoot out....just like Nicki's dad.

"Where is Nicki?" I asked as she told us to sit. Kate's expression quickly turned to upset. Oh goodness what did i do?

"This week has been hard for Nicki, today is that day her mother died, tomorrow is her dad's birthday.." Kate explained. Oh Nicki I'm so sorry.

"Can we go see her?" Aria asked and Kate nodded. We walked up the stairs and I slowly opened the door . We found Nicki wrapped up in her blanket with a tissue box by her side.

"Go away!" She groaned. I chuckled and sat on her bed. I unwrapped her and she sat up. It was silent for a bit, you could tell she was crying. She had year marks down her cheeks and her nose and eyes were red. I smiled at her and she threw herself into me. I hugged her and she started crying, harder and harder each time.

"Nicki look at me. Please!" I said. She lifted up and nodded.

"I know this is hard for you, I really do. But, we are here for you, always. I know you don't want us to and you keep pushing us away but we are here for you alright?" I said and she smiled.

"ALRIGHT ENOUGH OF THIS MUSHY STUFF!" Aria said rolled her eyes.

"How the heck do you keep your bad girl attitude when you're with her! I can't!" Nicki asked pointing at me.

"I was a good girl because of her! And then we moved and I guess boom!" Aria replied. I rolled my eyes and we decided to watch movies and talk until I get a message from Blake.
