Chapter 28

*Shay's P.O.V*
I was screaming but I couldn't hear myself. Matter of fact, I couldn't hear anything at all. I'm laying on the floor crying, holding on to Ryder. Shawn is pulling me away but I didn't want to let go.

"SHAY! SHAY LET GO HE'S AIMING FOR YOU. DYLAN AND TUCKER AND GETTING RYDER JUST LET GO!" I heard Shawn yell. Suddenly I realized what was going on. Ryder has been shot, but that bullet was meant for me. I look and see Dylan and Tucker holding on to Ryder so I let go. But right after I let go, I regretted it. I looked down at my hands and body, I'm covered in blood. Shawn lifts me up and he runs. I can't see clearly, all the tears are blocking my view. I look back and see the big pool of blood where Ryder was laying and I cry even more. The sirens soon defend my ears but everything became more clear. Shawn set me down and I'm shaking. I look at him and he's covered in blood because of me, along with Dylan and Tucker. The ambulance takes him away and I'm still screaming. I stand up and I walk out the building, Nicki grabs my hand and doesn't let me leave but I have too. Just then Tielya comes crying.

"RYDER IS HE OK?!" She yells but then finds me crying and covered in his blood.

"This is all your fault I hope you know that. This is all your fault!" She screamed. It is my fault..she's right.

"WHY DON'T YOU SHUT THE HELL UP MAYBE?!" Nicki said punching her across the face.

"Heeeeyyyy! I wanted to do that!" Aria said.

"Nicki stop!" Miles said pulling her back. Nicki let go of my hand and I ran outside. I looked around and Trevor was being taken away by police. Thank god. Aria runs after me and pulls me back inside, and Tucker and Dylan come back.

"He's unconscious.." Tucker trailed off.

"He lost a lot of blood but all we can do now is pray he will be fine" Dylan said. I burst out into tears again and fell onto the floor. Ryder I need you.
   We drove home and the ride was silent. I was laying on aria's shoulder and my parents didn't say a word. Nicki got her car and drove Aidan's parents to a hotel, and Aidan was with us. The boys said they'd meet us at our house after they took a shower and Nicki would meet up with us also. We made it home and I walked up the stairs and took a shower. If he dies, I have no point to continue. I will lay in my bed and never leave my room, but I will pray he lives. I got out of the shower, and put on my onesie that Ryder got me on my birthday. I put my hands in the pockets and there was a box. Huh? I pulled out the box and opened it. Inside was a beautiful silver ring with a bug ruby heart. On the inside of the box there was a note. I pulled it out and read it.

"I love you. There's nothing more to say, just by those three words you should know that my promise to you is forever. I promise that nothing will break us apart. I promise to you that I will love you forever no matter how we end up. I promise that I will alway Protect you. I promise you my whole world and I promise that won't change. You're my best friend, I promise I won't ever leave or lose you. I love you. "

I put on the ring and and I payed on my bed crying. I love you too Ryder Green.

*Aria's P.O.V*

I walk upstairs to check on Shay, looks like she found the promise ring because now she's crying even more. I decided to let her be and I walked down the stairs and saw everyone sitting.

"Did she find it?" Tucker asked and I Nodded. I sat beside Dylan and Shawn and closed my eyes.

"Man, if she's like this, I wonder how Ryder's parents are going to react!" Dylan pointed out.

"You should have let me beat her right there!" Nicki said. She was still mad that Miles didn't let her beat up tielya.

"No, not unless she hits first!" He explained. She groaned and fell back onto the couch.

"Everything has been falling apart recently, I just can't seem to -" Shawn was about to say until someone knocked on the door. Dylan raced up to get it and little perfect boy was at the door.

"What do you want?" Dylan said trying to keep his cool.

"Can I just talk to Shay? Please?" He said trying not to make eye contact.

"No!" Dylan snapped

"Yes you can. Dylan calm down he's not gonna eat her!" Mr.Montgomery said. Blake walked up the stairs and I'm so surprised Dylan didn't just throw the remote control at him. He comes and sits beside me and I look at him and smile. He's about to start yelling so I grab his face and kiss him, he kisses me back but I stop him before we go further

"You need to learn to calm down!" I said smiling at him.

*Shay's P.O.V*

"Come in" I said whipping my tears. I really didn't  wanna talk to anyone but maybe I needed it.

"Hey..are you okay?" A Voice said. I look up and Blake was standing in my room. I shake my head and stuff my face back into my pillow. He comes and sits beside me and hugs me but I pull him off.

"No you don't get to do that. You don't get to hurt me and my friends and then walk back into my life and hug me. That's not right. Blake you broke my heart. " I said sitting up. He grabs my face and makes me look at him. He looks straight into my eyes and suddenly I'm scared. He's pulling in closer and his lips are a Cm away from mine but I push him off and stand up and open my door.

"I can't. And neither should you. I like Ryder, I'm not hurting him. You are with Tielya, you can't be doing this. I think it's best if you leave!" I said. He nodded and walked out the door and I slammed it. He is just so stubborn. I wait a couple minutes before I walk down the stairs. Everyone looks at me and I sigh.

"He tried kissing me" I said flopping down on the couch.

"Oh I am going to beat this boy!" My dad called out and I smiled.

"Does he not know about you and Ryder?!" My mom asked

"Mom there is nothing between Ryder and I. We still are best friends!" I said rolling my eyes.

"Oh shut up!" Everyone yelled.
