Chapter Seven
* That Co-Worker *
Was it how she acted or was it her whole charisma all added into one? The long brown hair, the same pink tinted cheeks, the same big eyes, but different body shape. Melanie was a lot thinner than her but she was not big either. She must change her look before I do it for her.
"Another one, H-"
"Shhh." I shushed the bartender. "Shhh."
"Sorry." She bowed to me for some odd reason.

He was looking at me and I was scared. My hands were growing tired fixing my hair who knows how but that is the only way I can calm my nerves.
"Excuse me." I say and walked down to the ladies room.
Passing him, I hear him clear his throat. Another sound I heard differently from him. My actions stop and turn to him. He does too with a unreadable expression I can not pick up.
"Talk." I tell that co-worker.
He says no word but shakes his head as an answer.
"Can you talk?" I ask again and I am shaking for some odd reason.
He says no word but nods.
"Do you speak another language?" Curiousity builds into our little interaction.
He shakes his head and points to me, to my lips, to my throat. He grabs his coat from the chair next to him and stands up.
"What is that suppose to mean?" He baffeled me.
"He'll wait for you outside." Said the bartender while she wiped the counter. That was weird. Does she speak to him. My attention goes back where he was standing but he was already walking away. To be honest, I was a little scared to go with him but very curious because what if he talks to me?
For one, he has a job, has a nice house and, well; I don't know. I look back at the bartender girl who happens to look Asian. I bite my lips and walk over to her.
"Did he tell you to tell me to meet him outside?" I asked nicely with a smile. Right off the bat she new I was innocent, maybe she can give me a warning
"Yes, He doesn't talk to anyone really." She begins and leans on the counter, "He only speaks to the older or seniors. Don't be afraid of him because he may look bad but, he truly isn't that bad."
"So, I should meet him outside?" I gulp and she laughs.
"Feel lucky." She smiles wide.
"Why?" My hand pulls a strand of hair behind my ear.
"He also told me that he got annoyed by your excessive amount out hair touching." She giggled and I widen my mouth. Did he really say that?
"I told him it was cute." Somehow I was jitty about this, why was it? "But you should go."
I nodded but turned once again, "Can ask you something else?"
"Sure." She smiled very wide.
"How does his voice sound?" My voice desperately says close to her ear because of the loud pounding music.
"Ooh." She frowns, "I can't tell you."
"Why not? Can you at least tell me his name?" I was so curious.
"I am sorry." She replies and walks off but I slap the counter. Whoops.
"Please!" I scream. Whoa, am I that desperate?
The bartender sighs and signals me to come close. I begin to feel anxious and nervous because it seems like I pushed her to give me an answer.
"He is Britsh."
My eyes widen and nt heart leaps. That co-worker isn't from here? He is British? Now, I am beginning to feel more curious about him. My eyes turn to the busy bartender and say Thank You for he trust.
Once, I walk back the whole group was eyes on me. Jabby looked mad, the other two girls looked like they were going to skin me alive.
"Uh, I have to go." I stutter because honestly no one has ever looked at me quite pissed like that before.
"No, did you just talk to that bartender plus that guy?" Elle grabbed my arm too roughly.
"I knew you liked him." Puffed Jabby and crossed her arms. She didn't stop her friends.
"You little slut." That word made me feel like I got shot. Suddenly, I forgot to breathe a little because I am maybe the most innocent person here.
"And you said she was innocent, You know what they say about those quiet girls." Tod looked at me as if I was some type of meat.
"A Whore?" Giggled Melanie. "I mean, look at her cloths. She is hiding the looseness." She giggled more.
Tears were forming but I was still standing. I was taking the hits but I remained strong. I bit my lips, shut my eyes, and gripped my fists.
Be strong.
After that, I took a good look at them. Threw them a smile and walked away. Nicely, I asked for peoples excuses to let me through. Even the bartender looked at me with sorrow while she made some drinks. I am very sensitive though. So, once I reached outside, I was crying. Not really caring who saw me.
"Whoa, are you okay?" Said a girl with messed up make-up. Even she is nice and too think they were nice. And Jabby? I cried even more. Why did it it hurt so much?
"I'll be fine." I begin to walk ti the bust station.
I hear a loud scream not only a scream but a scream of terror. A horror scream that made me jump along with- suddenly someone roughly pulled me back. Once he did a truck passed by me, blowing the air from its speed.
"Are you fucking crazy!" Shouted the male who saved me and I turn.
