Chapter Sixty-Seven
* D a r c y *
Walking down the halls in the freezing cold to get my book, I saw Amanda standing in front of my locker. I stop my tracks, and saw her furiously look at me. She was angry. For some reason, I turned before reaching my locker because I was too happy, just to happy to argue with Amanda. She will only want Harry, but clearly he isn't going with her.
"Mary!" Mocks Amanda.
I twist and saw her walking up to me, eyeing me up and down. It was intimidating to see her eye me so rudely, knowing she was better than I.
"It's Darcy." I force out through my teeth.
"Why?" She crosses her arms. "Have you turned bad? Naughty should I say? What the fuck Darcy." Her hand slightly gave me a nudge on my shoulder, making quickly flutter my eyes. Did she just push me? My heart began to beat fast when I saw a couple of girls come out to stand behind her.
"What?" I shake, looking at the rebel looking girls nastily eye me up and down as well. "You can do this Amanda."
Amanda laughed, and looked at me evilly. Everything around felt like there was no where to hide, as the people began to gather up to see something. Was Amanda going to fight me? My happiness has completely banished, making me extremely frightened when she came closer.
"Amanda I have done nothing wrong." I whisper.
"Yeah." She snarls. "You had a boyfriend and you liked another boy? Sounds like cheating to me. Darcy you are not little miss goody-two-shoes!" She announced to everyone.
People reacted with a gasp, I took a good look around, seeing a crowd filled with people wanting to see. Their faces expressed sorrow, but some - they wanted to see the action.
"You knew I liked Harry!" Amanda says again, getting people to face her as the innocent and I the victim. "You were my best friend."
The crowd went 'ooh' making me turn around again, seeing their faces. My tears wanted to trickle down my eyes any moment but I kept it in. Then she pushed much harder now, making back up slightly, and pushed me once again. All of a sudden everything escalated so quickly, making feel weak once again like my past times when Melanie shared her power. If I faint now, who knows what will happen. It was too late, my vision blurs but I try to keep a steady and clear vision. My body begins to feel numb, but I keep my strong balance. Fear shouldn't win me over, in my opinion, I should beat it.
"She looks pale Amanda, stop." Said a girl.
I guess I wasn't as strong as my mind told me because I didn't hear anything or see anything after but hear echoes above all echoes.
The moment I opened my eyes, my vision saw the ceiling of my school's nurse room, it isn't the first time I've been here. The first time was in my freshmen year, I remember getting hit with a hockey stick and twisted my ankle. After that, I had countless injuries. Why me? Not only was I getting physically hurt but, it hurt that my best friend was against me, and wanting to start a fight. FIGHT! Good thing nothing happened. A sharp pain shot up my jaw, making my hand touch the pain with gentle taps.
I turned to the side, seeing that I wasn't the only one there. "Oh!" Said the nurse, standing up once she saw me. "You have awaken." She walked over, and touched my jaw gently and set an ice pack on it.
"Why does my jaw hurt?" I asked, sitting up in proper posture. "Did I hurt my jaw when I fell?"
"Eventually, from what the Dean told me, a girl hit you forcefully on the jaw instantly making you blackout. Plus, you were having a panic attack, as suspects requested, which made you forget what happen. You're fine, she bruised your jaw."
