Chapter Ninety

We waited for our plane to arrive in the big area of seats, and Darcy was ignoring me. So far I have pushed her and kissed her cheeks so many times but all I earned was a small push or a glare. That's when I gave up. I thought she would be happy to leave with me for a couple of days. My head sees her again, but she remains still, I sigh and gave up. I get up from the chair, hearing her gasp. I look at her for awhile and walk away. I guess I am acting a little crazy taking her because I know how much of a nerd she is with school and shit. Then again wouldn't she love to runaway with me?
Her familiar touch on shoulder greeted me, making me turned to see her smile up towards me. Darcy's small hand gripped a little tightly, but surprised me with one of her big hugs. "Sorry." She murmured. "It just surprised me."
"Yeah. I know." My arms haven't gripped her body yet but were tucked inside my pockets. She sensed she that I was still filled with sadness and poked my cheek. I moved no muscle but stare at her, she made a sad puppy look which made me grin a little.
"Sorry." She continued to pout. "I thought to myself that leaving with you wouldn't be a bad idea, I mean..we have problem here. Lance and Mary. Lets get away for a couple days in New York!" She claps her hands together to move back to where we were seated, but I yank her back.
Lance caught my attention but decided to ignore it for the right time to bring it up again because all I want to do is stay with a smile and happy mood. "I lied about the New York trip." I confess.
Darcy eyes switched into an are-you-kidding-me look and pushed me making me laugh. "What? Harry, do you want me to get angry? Now where are we going? Don't tell me you brought me here for nothing. I mean, other than the fact that I am with you... which I don't deny not having you by my side.... Anyways! Explain!" She screamed almost to get people looking at us. My eyes enhanced their shape, and clapped. It got Darcy pissed as I clapped, walking around her with a smirk on my face. Her eyes were furrowed, lips were in a tight line, and her arms were crossed. "Harry." She hissed.
"I've never seen you this angry before." I whispered in her ear. "You never get like that, I think I like it."
"Harry!" She hissed again.
"What? You're awfully moody today." Despite that I saw a pad inside her purse I knew why. Not all girls get so hormonal but I know Darcy does. She wiped her hand down to her cheek, grabbed my hand and pulled me aside where people can see less of us.
"All I want is an explanation." She whispers nice and sweet with a hint of rage.
"Kiss me first because you haven't all day." I cross my hands like a kid from primary school asking for his toy back. My eyes wonder here and there from the ceiling anxiously waiting for her familiar lip contact to meet mine. I didn't, instead, she was standing there with her arms crossed and eye brow lifted.
"How about I don't?" She makes a teasing laugh. "Now, where are we going?" She asks seriously.
I looked out in the big window wall, seeing at least three different airplane brands. Virgin, Volaris, and British Airways. Of course, I booked two tickets in Virgin to, "Chicago." I said.
Darcy's eyes soften, and her mouth suddenly yet barely falls. She supports herself on me, and almost begin to cry. I knew she would get like this because I know her so well.
"We're going back home?" She says. "I haven't seen my mother and step dad in almost a year and my house." Her hand grabs her her heart and looks at me with glossy eyes, wrapping her hands around me. This time I hugged her back as tight as possible because I know I won't be doing this for so long only a matter of time.
