Chapter Eleven

* D a r c y *'

My mother opened my curtains to wake me and she succeded on that. Though, I am happy that God gave me another night to sleep and morning wake. Everyone should be grateful than not to. Within awhile; showered, dresssed, make-up applied, and ready to head on to my living room I look out my window. Harry was not there. I sorta hoped though.

"So, we will be picking up Anne." My mother sipped her daily coffee.

"Picking up?" I squint in confusion.

"Yeah, we will be going to church. It's Sunday." She took her last gulp and washed her cup before we headed out.

Not even within a minute more like seconds, we arrived to her front door. I stepped forward in front of my mom playfully and knocked. We both laugh at my little funny motion then calmly collected ourself when the door opened. My teeth were on display twinkling for Anne's impression. My smile fades when I see Harry in his pijama's scratching his head not really caring of my appreance in front of his door.

"Thanks baby." His mom kisses his cheek and walks out with us as I remain looking at him. Until, I see the door shut in my face. Rude.

"Sorry, Harry isn't really a morning person." His mom apologizes from his rude shutting the door on my face incident.

"He is not accompanying us?" Asked my mother.

"Harry doesn't go to church... sadly." Anne looked back at her house almost wanting him to come.

My mother looked unsatisfied with him already by his no show in church, but I know my mom can not judge or ask questions. She does respect their decisons on their beliefs but perferbably likes people who are in the hands of God.

"Why doesn't he?" I ask when we all hoped inside my car.

"Honestly, I don't know." Anne replies but, judging from my rear-view mirror her face didn't seem to spill the reason behind her words. It's completely understandable, but very much mysterious.

'Oh." Is all I reply and start the car.

"It would be nice if someone helped him come out of his shell though." She said and I look back with a smile. Help is something I am willing to do, but if my mother is willing to approve. Since the look on her face clearly explained that she was not very fond with Harry.

"I hope he comes church one day." My mother retortes. Yup, she won't approve by me helping out her son. It's completely obvious.

Three hours later we arrive back to our little village smiling with smooties in our hands since I took them out for a bite to eat. My treat. Anne while through it was very carefree and fun. I almost see her as a best friend. She is someone I would absolutely hangout with no matter what her age is.

"I need to get something in the supermarket Darcy. You can be with Anne." My mom approved on going to her house after she comes back.

"Okay." I nod and hop off my car lending it to my mom to drive.

We wave at my mom and turn to her house and I immediately noticed that Harry's car is gone. Anne noticed as well and sighed.

"Where did this boy go to now." She tapped her foot and slipped out her phone from her purse the noticed that I was still present. "Excuse me."
