Chapter Twenty-Six

I battled out of his hold but I made no progress. I pushed, slide, and try to talk him out by letting go, but he kept me there. Him above me, I under him.
"Let me go, Harry" I slightly yell.
"Tell me you'll stay away from Jason." He threatens while gritting his teeth. "Tell me."
"Harry just move." I fume with with a gentle push.
"Darcy." It is rare when he calls me Darcy, since normally he calls me Mary. The tune of Darcy sounded more pretty and pleasant. It's like his voice gets more British everyday.
"He is taking me out, okay?" I admit while avoiding his gaze. "He wants to be with me, and honestly, he is not as bad as he looks. He has edu-"
"Really Darcy? Are you really just saying this?" Harry stopped me. "I know who he is, he is dangerous."
"Is he really, Harry?" I stomp. "Maybe he is nicer than you. Jason might have been flirty at first but he has proven to me that he is date worthy."
"Date worthy!" He finally let go while throwing his hands in the air. "He is just pretending!"
"Pretending what, Harry?" I fight back. "He has probably changed into a better guy."
"You are talking complete bullshit now." He mocks and slid his hand across his forehead. "Jason is bad, really bad! You have to understand."
"I am going on that date." I cross my arms and tap my foot on the floor. "And you can't stop me."
Harry twisted back, pointing his finger and took a big breath of air that sounded like he was going to scream his lungs out at me until he ran out of what he had to say. Then let it all out and dug his hands inside his curly locks.
"You know what?" He slipped his hands in his pockets. "Fine." He shrugs.
"I don't think I need your approval." I said.
"Just don't come crying to me." He glares and walks out of the restroom.

~Next Day~
"Have you decided who is taking you to Winter formal?" Asked Amanda as we walked to second period, choir.
"Dancing, people grinding, and couples everywhere. No thank you." I laugh.
"Have you told That Co-Worker about me?" Amanda swooned then turned to me again. "Have you?" She asks again.
"No." I sympathetically said. "I will perhaps today."
"Tell him if he is an alumni first because if he is, I'd like him to be my date." She swayed as she talked.
"Like I have said, he is not very friendly." I warned and she playfully rolled her eyes when we entered the echoey room.
"Do you know his name?" She asked.
I paused for a second, thinking whether to say yes or no. The good girl I am, I shall not lie.
"It was a promise not to tell a soul, I told you that before."
"I know, I go there all the time." My eyes widen, she totally wants Harry.
"Wow, just wow." I laugh and wait until class begins.
Minutes later our teacher, Ms. Johnson comes out with a large smile.
"Morning girls." She begins. "Remember what we talked about last week? The winter festival in Independence High School will be on Thursday. I will pass out permission slips at the end of class."
"What songs will we be singing?" Asked a choir member in the class.
"Our set: Kalinka, Jingle Bells, Pie Jesu." She answered.
"I have to ask for my day off." I groan. "I barely started working and I ask for a day off."
"You are a minor, they cannot do anything about it." Amanda says.
I nod and class begins with usual rehearsals. Then remember how in the world will I interact with Harry since he walked out with anger and never showed up when I went back out the restroom.
School commenced until the end of the day, until I drove home ready to go to work afterwards.
Once I pulled up to my same parking space I park in, I see Harry with his cigarette in between his finger, puffing out the bad that contaminates our air.
Snow was falling, while the ground slowly began to turn white. Yet, he was still out here smoking? I walked out wearing my long girl coat and began to walk towards the door.
Harry was smoking, taking no second look at me. He just sort of stood there smoking his cigarette without a care in his life.
-Day 17
I walk passed him and stop when we are directly beside each other.
"Harry." I say.
He says no word.
"Do you happen to be an alumni in Whitney M. Young Magnet High School?" The soon as I speak, Harry faces me with shock.
"Maybe." He asserts. "Just maybe, why?"
"My friend really likes you and she is planning-"
"I am not interested with anyone, especially your friends." He glares harshly.
"She likes you." I admit and he laughs.
"A lot girls do, it's okay." He threw a his cigarette on the floor, crushing it with his feet and he leaves inside.
I run inside to catch up to him and grabbed him from the arm. He turns around with an unpleasant look. Almost as if he was going to bite me if he were a dog.
"Harry she really likes you, please." I encourage.
"Why should I?" His voice deepened. "For your benefits? I don't talk to anyone especially people around your young age."
"Maybe, I will stay away from Jason." This automatically made Harry interested.
"You will leave him alone for good?" He smiles. "Promise?"
"I will leave him." I sigh.
"Promise." He says again.
"I prom... promise."
With that being said, Harry slowly began to smile and look more calmed.
~
It is midnight and I am really sleepy! But OMG hope you start figuring the puzzles (:
