16: First Date

It's Thursday evening and the Matthews' just finished dinner.

Cory and Topanga put Auggie to bed and Riley finishes her homework in her room.

As she is working, Riley is interrupted by a knock on her door.

"Hey, Sweetie. We were wondering if we could talk to you about something," Topanga tells her daughter.

"Sure thing," Riley gets up and her and her parents sit in the bay window.

"Well, we noticed that you and Maya haven't really been on date since you guys starting dating," Cory states.

"No, we haven't. Is that a bad thing? Does that mean-" Riley starts freaking out.

"Riley, settle down. It's fine you two have only been dating for a few weeks," Topanga assures her.

"But we do have an idea on what your first date could be together..." Cory starts.

"We broke her, Cory! We broke our first child!"

"Hey, at least we have a second one," Cory shrugs.

"Cory!" Topanga shouts.

Riley has been frozen with a smile on her face since her parents finished telling her their idea.

"What do we do?" Cory asks.

"I don't she's been stuck like this for ten minutes."

Riley starts bouncing up and down in excitement and her smile grows even bigger." Yyyaaaaaaayyyyyyy!" The girl exclaims.

"So is that a yes?" Her mother asks.

Riley shakes her head up and down.

"Good," Cory smiles.

"Have you guys seen Riley lately? She usually meets me at my locker right now," Maya asks.

"I haven't seen her since history class," Farkle states.

"Nope," Lucas responds.

"That's weird," says Maya.

"Guys, I think I found her," Zay interrupts pointing down the hallway.

They all look to where he is pointing and sure enough it's Riley.

She is walking towards the group and does a dramatic hair flip.

"Excuse me, boys," the brunette says pushing past them to get to Maya.

Farkle, Lucas and Zay take a step back.

"Hey," Riley says casually, as she runs her hand through her hair.

"Uh, hi," Maya responds with a smile on her face trying her best not to laugh at the girl, who is obviously trying very hard to impress her.

"I've seen you around."

"Oh, really?" Maya questions.

"Yeah, and I was wondering if you were free this Saturday?" Riley asks in a hard-to-get kind of attitude.

"Actually I already have plans," Maya responds.

"What, really? With who, Peaches?" Riley asks, instantly breaking her character.

"Oh, it's just this girl I know," Maya says, as she starts to twirl her hair.
