Eric looks back and forth between Shawn, Jack, Angela and Rachel a few times, as no one is able to muster up the courage to speak even a word.
"Well this is awkward," Eric bluntly states. "I'm going to go over there," he says, leaving the four alone.
"We need to talk," Angela tells Shawn.
"And we need to talk," Rachel says to Jack.
"Angela, how have you been?" Shawn asks.
"I've been good. Look Shawn, I came here because a need to tell you something," Angela says.
"Great, what is it?" Shawn happily questions.
"I did it. I had a baby," Angela smiles.
"What? Really?"
"Really," Angela confirms. "She turned one just a couple of months ago."
"Wow, she's already a year old? Do you have any pictures of her?"
"Yeah, I do," Angela says, as she takes out her phone to show Shawn pictures of her daughter.
"She's beautiful, Angela. I'm so happy for you," Shawn says with a smile.
"Thank you, Shawn. Anything happen to you since the last time we talked?"
"I found her, Angela. I found the one and I love her so much."
Angela looks over at Katy, who is across the room and then back at Shawn. "I told you she was special. And her daughter?"
"Yeah, I love her too," Shawn smiles.
"I'm glad everything worked out for you, Shawn."
"I'm glad everything worked out for you too."
"You know the last time we talked was back in New York when I asked you if you thought I was ready to be a mother. Why is that, Shawn?" Angela inquires.
"What? Oh, I don't know."
"We had something special when we were younger. We loved each other, Shawn, but now we've grown up. We have our own families and our own lives, but why does that mean we can't be friends?"
"I- I don't know," Shawn stutters.
"It shouldn't."
"Then it doesn't," Shawn says. "If you don't mind, I'd love to meet your little girl sometime. I'm sure my family would love to join me as well."
Angela smiles. "That sounds like a wonderful idea."
"Great."
As Shawn and Angela wrap their conversation up, everyone else in the room focuses their attention on Jack and Rachel, who have yet to say a full sentence to each other.
Riley leans over to Maya and whispers, "can I come with your family to see Angela's baby?"
Maya playfully rolls her eyes. "If that would make you happy."
"It would," Riley replies.
Just then, Jack is the first one to finally say something. "You're actually here."
