28: ...Upstate

Riley, Maya and Cory arrive back at the Matthews' apartment.

Riley was silent the whole car ride, and has been attached to Maya's arm since they left the dance.

As they walk through the front door, Topanga jumps up from the couch and runs over to her daughter.

"Riley, Sweetie, are you okay?"

Riley doesn't say anything, so Maya answers for her, "I think she just needs some sleep."

"That's probably a good idea," Topanga agrees. "Are you sure you don't want to take a bath before you go to bed? I think it would help you feel better."

They all look at Riley for a response, but again she is silent. The only thing she does is hold onto Maya's arm even tighter.

"I don't think she wants me to leave her side," Maya says.

"Why don't you help give her a bath?" Cory suggests.

"What?" Maya asks, surprised he would propose such a thing.

"She does need to be cleaned up, and if she doesn't want you to leave her, then that's really our only option," Cory reasons.

"Are you sure?"

Both of the girl's parents shake their heads in agreement.

Maya looks up at the girl attached to her arm, "does that sound okay, Riley?"

Riley gives her the smallest nod.

"Okay," Maya smiles, happy that Riley is somewhat communicating.

Maya begins to draw the bath water, after Riley finally lets go of her.

As the water continues to run, Maya gets up and says, "so you should probably get undressed now..."

"Here, turn around," Maya tells the girl. Riley turns her back towards Maya and Maya moves her brunette curls over the girl's shoulder and unzips her dress.

"Okay, your dress is unzipped," Maya says, turning Riley back around so she is facing her.

"Can you take it off by yourself?"

Riley nods.

"Okay." Maya goes over to the bathtub and shuts off the water. Once she turns around, Riley has already taken her dress off.

"Oh my god," Maya thinks to herself, "how could I let this happen to her?" She asks herself, upon seeing Riley's perfect body bruised and damaged.

Along with the various mark and bruises along her chest and neck, her hand is purple and swollen and she has two giant bruises, one on her thigh and one on her stomach.

Riley continues to get undressed until she is completely bare.

This is the first time Maya has seen Riley naked, and she couldn't help but admire the girl's body.

Riley shyly looks at the ground, and Maya sees that her girlfriend is embarrassed.

"Riley, you're beautiful," she says. This makes Riley smile.

Maya takes the brunette's hand and helps her into the tub.

After Riley is all cleaned up the two head to the brunette's room to go to sleep.

Maya is positioned slightly above Riley, allowing Riley to bury her face into the blonde's chest.

Riley wraps her arms around her girlfriend and intertwines their legs, so they are inseparable.
