A week and a half or so has gone by since Riley and Maya were able to see each other.
It's currently Wednesday and Maya decides to call Farkle to ask him about Riley.
While the phone rings, Maya searches around on her computer.
"Hey, Maya! How are you?"
"Pretty good. How are you?"
"I'm good. I'm guessing that you probably called about Riley."
"Yeah," Maya answers.
"Ever since she found out you were coming over a couple of weeks ago, she has been back to her normal self. Even after you left."
"That's good. Thanks Fark- I have to go."
"Is everything okay?" Farkle asks.
"Everything is more than okay," she responds, dropping her phone on her bed and carrying her laptop out to he living room.
"Shawn!" Maya shouts.
"Maya!" Shawn shouts back.
"Why are you yelling?"
"I don't know, why are you yelling?"
"Look!" Maya says, shoving the laptop in his face.
"It's-"
"Yeah," Maya interrupts. "Now come on let's go!"
"Maya we can't go right now. Let's just wait until the weekend."
"If we leave now, we should be there by 5:00 and it says the manager is there until 6:00. We have plenty of time."
"What about your mom? She isn't off work yet."
"We'll go without her, she'll understand. C'mon!" Maya grabs a jacket and chucks Shawn's keys at him.
He catches his keys and rolls his eyes. "Fine," he groans.
"Hello, we'll take it," Maya says, rushing into the building.
"What I think she means is that we would like to look at the empty apartment you have," Shawn corrects her.
"Yeah, then we'll take it."
"Maybe," Shawn adds.
The manager laughs, "okay, follow me."
"So?" The man asks, after they have viewed the whole apartment.
"It's great," Shawn answers.
"It's perfect!" Maya says.
"I'm going to call my wife and see what she thinks. Excuse me," Shawn says, leaving the room.
"Okay, love you too. We'll see you tonight," Shawn renters the room and hangs up the phone.
"So?" Maya and the manager ask in unison.
"We'll take it!"
"Yay," Maya shouts, and runs out of the apartment.
"Where is she going?" The manager questions.
"She has to go tell someone."
"Okay... Well let's go fill out the paperwork downstairs."
"Mom, Dad, I'm freaking out!" Riley says, pacing back and forth in her apartment. "She hasn't called, she hasn't answered her text messages. She usually calls hours ago!"
"Riley, I'm sure it's fine," her mother assures her.
"She is probably just busy," her father adds.
"But what if-" Riley is cut off when she is tackled to the ground from behind. "She's on top of me isn't she?"
Her parents nods.
"Maya!" Riley excitedly yells with a smile on her face.
The two get up off the ground,
"Maya, what are you doing here?" Topanga asks. "Please tell us you came with your mother or Shawn."
"Yeah, yeah. Shawn's around."
"Why are you guys in the city?" Cory questions.
"We came to look at an apartment," the blonde answers.
"In the middle of the week?" Cory further inquires.
"Yep."
They all sit down and ask about the apartment for a bit.
"So where is this 'perfect apartment' anyway?" Topanga eventually asks.
"Well-" Maya is stopped when someone knocks on the door.
"Come in!" Riley yells.
Shawn opens the Matthews' front door.
"Shawnie!" Cory says.
"Cor, Topanga, Baby Cory. Matthews," Shawn addresses them. "Or should I say neighbors," Shawn says pulling out the keys to their new apartment.
"What?" All of the Matthews ask shocked.
"One door down and a floor up," Maya says, answering Topanga's question from earlier.
"Maya, we're going to be neighbors?"
"Yep, Riles!"
"Yay!" Riley exclaims, engulfing Maya in a hug.
