I looked at my phone. The hospital? What?
"Ashley wake up." I shook him awake before answering.
"Mrs. Purdy?" A voice asked.
"Yes?" I answered.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry to inform you, but your step daughter was in a horrific accident alone with her husband. Unfortunately neither made it out alive...I'm sorry." She said. I dropped the phone and started screaming.
"What? What!? WHAT!?" Ashley said shaking me harshly.
"A-A-Andy. S-S-S-Santanna. T-T-T-They're, they're gone. They're dead Ashley. They died." I cried.
"WHAT? HOW?" He shouted, now crying.
"They were in an accident. Theu didn't survive." I sobbed until I couldn't breathe. My best friend. Her husband. They were gone...
