CHAPTER 36

I didn't know what to do. I can't stay like that, they are heading towards me and Harry isn't here. I have to get out of here. I took my bag and got out of the cafeteria, I don't know if they are watching me or not, I don't want them to think that I am scared of them. I walked towards the class, put my bag on my desk and then wandered in tge school, didn't know where to go. I went to the library at the end. I called Harry 4 times but he didn't answer. How would he know where I am. I think he knows that I am here, as always.

Time passed but he never called back or came here. I don't know where he is. I am so confused. I sat there reading some book tgat was in the popular books' shelf. It is called The Bride. I didn't concentrate much, I kept reading the same part for a couple of times as I was distracted by thinking of what just happened. I don't know where Harry is, how didn't he look for me, he told me that he is going to the toilet, but he didn't come back. He knew that I can't face those guys alone. I need him to be with me and support me.

Finally, the bell rang and I had to go back to the class, but I had to bring my stuff from the locker first. On my way back to the class, I was distracted by thinking of where Harry would be. Suddenly, I felt someone squeezing my shoulder. I gasped and backed away quickly. I thought that it was one of the guys that harassed me, but I saw who it was and luckily it was Harry. I looked around me and I found that everyone was looking at me. I blushed as I was embarassed that everyone saw what just happened. I think that they saw that I exaggerated a little bit in being surprised, but I have my own reasons.
"What's wrong?" Harry whispered.
"Nothing. I was just thinking of something "
" Did you think that I was one of the guys?" he said while motioning to walk towards the class.
"Yes actually "
"Sorry for scaring you"
"Okay" I said coldly
We entered the class then he was about to say something but the teacher entered.

The rest of the day wasn't very well, actually I was disappointed that Harry wasn't by me when the guys came to talk to me. He tried to talk to me more than once during the class, but I acted as if I didn't hear him. I started to re-think of going with him on the mysterious trip. When the school day ended, I tried to walk quickly before he offer to drive me back home, but he grabbed my arm and made me look at him.
"Let me drive you back home." he said
"No it's okay. I want to walk back home today ."
"Why?! I wanted to go back home with you today"
I don't know what to say as an excuse. I want to think alone about what to do about my promise to him to go with him on a trip tonight.
"I want to think of a way to tell mom about our trip tonight."
"We can think together while going back home." I give up
"okay"
I rode with him in the car and as usual he opened the door for me. Despite me being angry with him, I am still overwhelmed by his charming character.
Harry's POV :
I don't know what's wrong with her. I f
did everything I can to make it up for her and not completing the breaktime with her. I know it is hard for her to sit alone for the rest of the breaktime worried to meet the guys again. I should have stayed with her in anticipation for her to meet the guys again.  I have to do something about this.
"So,ummmmm"
"What?"
"What are you gonna tell your mother about our journey?"
"Dunno yet?"
"Ummm, I have an idea."
"Okay." I started to get angry about the way she is treating me now. I have to stay calm.
"Wanna hear it?"
"Okay."
"You just tell her that you have a school trip and you wanna go on that trip."
"Good idea but mum won't believe it."
"Ohh, I don't know, it's a good lie, all mums believe it."
"Not mum."
"You know her better than me."
"Yeah."
The rest of the car ride was very quiet, we both sat silently. I didn't know what to talk about. I could feel the tension that feel the air.

We arrived at her house. She was about to open her door, but as always I told her to wait, so I could open her door myself.
"No, I'll do it myself. " She said. I was really shocked. It was the first time she tells me that. I know it's nothing to care about, but to me it's a big deal.
" As you like." I said
I waited until she entered her house then I drove to my house. I found that the front door was already opened . Emily and Karen must be here, but they should come in a few days. I entered the house slowly and then I was paralyzed when I heard some noise upstairs coming from my room. I didn't know what to do, but I went to the kitchen to find something to defend myself with. I grabbed a knife as it was the first thing I saw on the counter. I went upstairs very slowly and tried not to make any noise. I saw who was inside my room.
