For Kyoto

I was bored, getting worried about Naomi, Raph, and Lilly. They’ve been gone for a while. Nearly twenty or more minutes. I kept looking at my T-Phone repeatedly, wondering the time and if they’d have texted or called and I had somehow missed it.

When they came in, Naomi and Raph were holding hands and Lilly wasn’t hanging onto Naomi anymore. She was in front of them, smiling happily, and even skipping a little.

As soon as Lilly saw me, she paused and Naomi bumped into her by accident. Naomi undid hers and Raph’s hands and motioned her forward. She whispered something very softly in her ear and Lilly nodded, coming up to me.

For once, someone was shorter than me and it shocked me. Her green eyes were sticking behind the lavender mask; mixed with Raph’s color, Naomis’s brightness and unknowing.

“Mikito, right?” she asked.

“Yeah…?” I said a little softly and questioningly.

Suddenly, she hugged me and I took a step back, not really sure what to do or say. This wasn’t anything I would have expected from either Naomi, Raph, or their daughter for that matter. Doesn’t seem in the blood for hugging.

“Trust me,” Lilly said, backing up, smirking like Naomi. “I don’t give hugs.”

“Nice…” I said, looking at Naomi, Raph walking off. “So she has your mind reading ability?”

“No,” Naomi and Lilly said simultaneously. Naomi continued, “As far as I know, she won’t. But she might in later years if she practices.”

“Like I’d want to read minds,” Lilly scoffed, crossing her arms. She was seriously making me want to hurt myself with so many similarities of the two… Actually, Naomi and Raph had a lot in common physical-wise.

Naomi shrugged as the others came in. I turned around and recognized Natasha carrying the new Turtle, Kyoto. Even Master Splinter came back in. He looked at us all before sighing deeply.

“Sorry, Sensei…” Naomi muttered, rubbing the back of her neck.

“It’s fine, Naomi…” Splinter answered her. “It’s just with all of you. Rooms will be difficult.”

Silence as that last statement sunk in. There was a lot of us… Mikey, Donnie, Leo, Raph, me, Sophie, Naomi, Natasha, and Kyoto… Nine Turtles… I blinked widely in shock at how much the number grew.

“But there will be one more,” Naomi said.

“You’ve got to be kidding!” Leo exclaimed. “We barely had any rooms to start out with!”

“But I’m sharing with Raph starting tomorrow,” Naomi said. Everyone blinked in shock, but then they just nodded.

“Are you sure that’s wise, Naomi?” Splinter asked. “Especially now with Lilly.”

“Melanie,” Lilly changed it quickly. “Naomi wants to call me Melanie. Shredder called me Lillyan. I want to forget that name.”

Sensei nodded, “Very well, Melanie.” then back to Naomi. “Again, are you sure?”

“I’ll be more careful, Sensei,” Naomi bowed. “I promise.”

“Good for you, but what about the rest of us?” Natasha butted in, setting Kyoto down on the couch, sitting by him. “Because of Lil--Melanie, there won’t be any rooms for Kyoto.”

“I can sleep on the couch,” Kyoto said softly, looking down, avoiding everyone’s gaze. “I practically slept on one when I was human…”

“We will make you a room, Kyoto-San,” Splinter looked at him. “We just need time.”

At the sound of the honorific, Kyoto nodded and sighed. “Okay…”

“For now, however,” Splinter said, turning to the rest of us. “If you’d like to sleep with someone, make sure you do not try anything like Naomi and Raphael did. Even if it was an accident.”

Naomi blushed at that, looking down a little. We all bowed and Splinter left. After he left, Naomi left, letting Melanie follow her to the rooms. Mikey looked at me and grinned.

“Wanna stay the night?” he asked.

“I was actually wanting to bother Naomi tonight,” I answered. “Sorry, Mikey.”

“Tomorrow, then?”

“Sure,” I smiled. “If you clean your room a little.”

“Whaaaat?” Mikey shrugged his shoulder and slouched a little. “But…!”

“Just a path,” I smiled innocently, going up to the rooms. Another nightly issues should be fun, especially with Melanie, right?
