I stare up at the tall two story brick building. It looked like a two story apartment except it was the only one. In the middle of pretty much nowhere.
Talk about creepy.
Well not exactly, the city's fifteen minutes from us,
But, still.
The bricks scatter the building in a Tetris pattern, fading from Maroon, to brown, to tan. Little green vines grow in the cracks adding more detail to the plain building.
The driveway consist of gravel and a single wooden brown door completes the exterior of the house.
"Um, if y'all where gonna kill me you could've at least warned me. This isn't even fair I didn't get a head start." I say, looking over at Declan.
Declan stares at me seriously, "Why would we tell you we are gonna murder you that gives it away and defeats the purpose."
I stare at him blinking furiously.
Clayton rolls his eyes, "We're not here to murder you." He says, walking towards the door, as me and the rest of the boys follow after him.
The boys walk up to the door, lingering around it with bored expressions as Clayton reaches the door.
I watch his actions intently, he pulls out a tan brick that pulls out three other bricks with it, forming a complete square of bricks together.
I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Clayton lifts up a piece of what looks like a wallpaper, to reveal a black scanner. He places his hand against it and it flashes a serious lines of green and then the sound of a deadbolt being unlocked cuts through the silence.
Clayton lets the paper fall back down and places the bricks back in the wall, completing the pattern and making it look as if it's never been touched.
He walks over to the big wooden door, turning the black handle and pushing it open.
The boys file in and I follow after him as Clayton lets the door slam shut behind him with a boom, and he proceeds to walk past me.
I turn around looking at the once wooden door to see a wall of steel with a peep hole in the middle.
"The outside of the door is made to look like a normal house while the inside is covered with a concrete, steel interior to protect from bullets or anything likewise." Clayton speaks up.
I turn, looking at him. He places his hands in his jean pockets and turns walking into what I assume is a living room.
To the left of the living room was a stairway that led up to the upstairs and to the right was a small ordinary kitchen with a bathroom to the right.
I step further into the living room taking in the sight as it was just a normal plain living room with tan carpets, one yellow run down sofa and a single old tv on a small end table, placed in front of the couch, up against the wall.
I rub my lips together, watching the boys as they pile into the kitchen and open the fridge, grabbing drinks that mainly consist of beer. Timothy steps out offering me a beer, I stare down at it and then back at him.
"Just know that one of us actually pay attention to the so called princess."
I turn my attention to the dark hard boy standing by Timothy and immediately recognize him as Jon.
He holds out a cold red can of Coca Cola and a glass bottle of beer in his other hand, he reaches the Coke towards me. I shrug on a sly smile and take the can from him, letting the coldness seep into my hot hand and cooling it down.
