I have never been the one to work. When being bullied your whole life it's kinda hard to, you always fear someone could 'accidentally' trip you causing you to land face first in the tray you where carrying or 'accidentally' spill their drink all over you, when your a working nerd 'accidents' tend to happen ALOT. You'd also think that being a shy person and not liking attention that you wouldn't put yourself in a position to wear you make your anxiety go sky rocket and you feel like your about to piss yourself at any given moment,
But,
Here I am standing behind the counter in a Yellow collared shirt tucked into my black dickies, with a small black waist apron holding my notepad and pen as I watch people fill the cafe and people leave. To say I'm horrified is and understatement.
I'm scared shitless.
Literally.
Of course being a hostess you have to talk to people and bring them their drinks and all but, never did I think I would be in this position, I'm to shy, my anxiety is so high, all I can think is I'm gonna die.
But, this is all for Gammy, to help her with the food and the house, I'll be fine.
Atleast that's what I keep trying to tell myself as each second passes.
I pick up a rag and bucket from under the counter as a couple gets up and leaves the cafe. I walk over to their small table in the corner, placing all their dishes in the bucket and wiping down their table with a rag.
I throw the rag into the bucket, walking to the kitchen. Tessa walks in front of me stopping me from going into the back.
"Can you take the customer that just came in please?" She begs, "I'm dealing with a whiney old couple who claims I got their order wrong." She rolls her eyes in annoyance as she grabs the bucket from my hands.
I nod, "Yeah sure." I say with a small smile.
She smiles, "Your a life saver."
I smile wiping my hands on my apron and taking out my notepad and pen, turning around to find the new customer.
I look around, looking at the table I just cleared to find a calm Clayton sitting their, texting away on his phone.
How cliche.
I groan walking over to his table.
"Hi welcome to Sunville Cafe, how my I help you today?" I ask in a monotone voice, starring down at my notepad, avoiding his eyes.
I hear him sigh as he leans back in his seat, "A new waiter would be nice." He comments.
I whip my head up glaring at him, "Well sorry to disappoint you but, all the other waiters are busy doing something with their life's." I say, with a fake sarcastic smile.
"Probably something better than what your doing." He comments, crossing his arms.
"If you mean, by not talking to you, then yea. They are doing something way better."
He glares at me leaning his elbows on the table.
I throw his menu on the table as I wait for him to order.
He doesn't even bother looking at the menu as he roughly hands it back to me, keeping his glare tight.
I rip it out of his hands.
"I want the extra cheesy grill cheese, American Cheese, with a root beer and make sure they know not to burn it this time."
I quickly write down his order, "Picky I see." I say, clicking my pen.
"Have to be." He says, shrugging.
"I guess we know one thing your not picky about." I say, ripping the order from the notepad.
"And what's that?"
"Your women." I say looking up at him with a fake smile, referring to all the girls he's brought to bed.
He glares at me and I turn around walking back to the counter. I clip the paper to the order rack, picking up a cup from under the counter and filling it with ice and root beer.
I walk back to Clayton's table slamming his drink down, causing it to splash a little.
"I really hate you Anderson." He comments.
"Feelings mutual." I say back to him and then walk away.

"Thanks Tessa! Have a nice night!" I yell to Tessa as walk out of the door.
My shift was finally over and I was exhausted. After I gave Clayton his drink I had Tessa take him his food, if I had to even look at him one more time he wouldn't have been able to even pick up his food, it would've met with his face before anything.
I walk to my car, in the quiet, dark, and empty parking lot.
I get to my door, digging in my backpack for my keys. Something ruffles in the bushes and I freeze, looking up quickly. I don't see anything so I hesitantly pull out my keys and attempt to put them in the key hole, when I hear another sound. I stop looking up and around me, I turn around in a circle cautiously looking around.
I go back to unlocking my car, I quickly juggle with the keys, trying to open my door.
I yelp as a hand quickly covers my mouth and a cloth covers my eyes. I put my hands over the other persons trying to get them off me. I scream and cry, kicking and screaming as they drag me backwards. I hit him where the sun don't shine with my leg and I hear him groan.
Next thing I know my arms are grabbed and yanked roughly behind my back as someone ties my wrist together. I scream louder but, it's muffled by the cloth tied around my mouth.
A tear streams down my face and I give up letting my body go limp as they throw me into what I'm assuming is a car since I can't see, and I hear the door slam shut.
Here I am again Helpless as always.
