7 Months Later

I stand on the soft grass, fidgeting from foot to foot in my black heels.

A breeze blows causing my hair to flow in front of my face, my curls going everywhere.

"Come on." I say, adjusting the cap on my head, my knees shaking with anticipation under the green fabric I'm wearing over my white dress.

"And now, class of 2018, if you will, turn your tassels to the left,"

I raise my hand with a grin, grabbing the bundle of strings moving it over to the other side of my cap.

"Congratulations graduates of class of 2018!"

The speaker says, causing hoots and hollers from all over the football field.

I, along with the rest of my classmates scattered around me, throw my cap up into the sky, watching the green material and the tassels flow everywhere.

I laugh, as it falls back down at my feet, and I bend down to grab it.

I stand up, turning to see Clayton already staring at me from the other side of the aisle, a grin plastered on his face.

I walk over to him, glancing at Declan beside him, laughing and talking with the boys.

"How does it feel to be an early graduate?" Clayton ask, as I approach him.

I smirk, "Feels awesome."

"What up brooo." I hear someone say to the right of us.

I turn my head, seeing Jake walk to us, a humongous smile plastered on his face.

After everything that happened with the gang and all the funerals, I went back to school and me and Jake decided we wanted to graduate early. With it being the new start of a semester, our counselors agreed as long as we worked hard to fit a years worth into a semester.

As you can see, we accomplished.

I smile at him as I pull him into a hug.

"Proud of you." I mumble, as I nuzzle my face into his shoulder.

He pulls back, grabbing my shoulders, "Proud of me? I'm proud of you! After all the shit that's been thrown at you this year, you've come out on top," He says, smiling at me, "I don't even think you're human Samantha." He jokes.

I laugh, as he drops his arms, facing Clayton.

"Congrats bro." Clayton says, doing the little dude-handshake and bro-hug thing.

Jake pulls away, patting him on the back, "Thanks dude, means a lot."

They smile at each other.

"So," Jake starts, clapping his hands together in front of his face, "I'm throwing a little graduation party at our house tonight, last memory type of thing since we move in two days, and it's perfect for a party!" He says, with excitement.

I laugh.

"I would like you two, to come." He finishes.

I look over at Clayton and back at Jake, "Sure, why not." I say smiling, "Me and Clayton just have to visit Lucille and Janice for a bit and then I'm sure we could come by."

After Cash died, before his funeral I contacted his mom Janice, told her everything expect for how Cash really died. As far as everyone knows he was shot in a robbery. I told her about me and him and how he told me about Lucille, and we have decided it would be best to let me be a big part of their life's, especially Lucille's.
