My alarm sounds through my room as the sun fights to shine through my curtains. I groan an slowly roll over hitting the snooze button on my alarm for the fifth time.

I grab my pillow, snuggling into it as I try an drift off again.

"BEEP, BEEP!" My alarm roars again not even a minute later.

I roll over grabbing my glasses off my end table an checking the time on my phone.

I bolt out of bed as the time on my phone reads, 7:55.

Way to go Samantha your gonna be late.

Oh shut up sub conscience.

I quickly run into my bathroom brush my teeth, wash my face an use the bathroom. I run back into my room towards my wardrobe, picking out some grey joggers that say Brooklyn in bold letters on the side of the right leg, a black v-neck an a red jacket. I hop around my room attempting to put my joggers on while looking for my combat boots.

Unable to remember where I put my boots last night I stick to my tan house shoes, I slip them on an throw my hair up in a messy bun.

I grab my book bag off my chair an shove my binder into it, swinging it over my shoulder. I grab my keys off the nightstand an my phone, due to my rushing I try to pull the phone an hope it'll unleash from the charger, instead the charger grips the phone sending me flying backwards, tripping over my own feet an falling back against the nightstand.

I groan as I get up, yanking the cord from the phone an head downstairs, I quickly grab a bottle of Cranberry juice an run out of the house not even bothering to say bye as I remember Grammy had to take Pops to another appointment this morning.

I quickly hop into my Kia, Soul throwing my book bag in the passenger seat. Yes it's like one of those Tokyo looking box cars, I hate it it makes me feel claustrophobic but, it's better than walking. I hurriedly  speed out of my drive way an off to school.

So, so far I've been able to make it to lunch without any sign of my presence to my tormentors or without being bugged by Jake or Clayton.

I stroll through the empty hallways, hearing the faint sounds of students chatting among themselves in the cafeteria, an to my locker, Jake or Clayton have not yet to come to me today, maybe they forgot about the whole deal...yea I think I'll stick to believing that.

I reach my locker, punching in the code an swinging it open. I grab my sack lunch, an throw my chemistry book into my locker along with other books I no longer need and exchanging them for an English book.

I slam my locker shut, jumping and letting out a quite squeal from the surprise of Clayton leaning up against the locker beside mine.

"Did I scare you?" He says, with a low chuckle.

"Uh ya, a little" I respond, tightening the grip on my sack lunch.

"Ok well whatever, so about our deal"

I let out a sigh, "Clayton," I say, as I turn around an head for the library.

He's quick to follow in my steps, "Come on Sanny-,"

"My names Samantha," I interrupt him.

"Well Sam, come on help a bro out"

"Your not my bro," I say, rounding a corner.

"Well then, help a friend out,"

"Definitely not a friend either, Clayton just leave me alone."

He bolts in front of me bringing me to a stop,

"Listen Sandy-," I roll my eyes at how he got my name wrong again, "-This gang is my family they mean more to me than any other person in this world, an they were taken from me by some selfish bitch, now I'm not gonna stand around and mope about it, I'm gonna get revenge, you can either help or never get the info on your mom an wonder what happened to her the rest of your life, an never be able to see if that little bit of hope of her being alive is even vaguely possible, now what do you say?"

My breath hitches in my throat at the thought of my mother still being alive,

I let my eyes roam around the walls of the hall, trying to keep from making any eye contact with Clayton.

"All info on my mom right?" I say, quietly.

"Yes."

"Can we get rid of the bastard that was once my dad to?"

"That can be discussed," He says, with a nod.

I stand there for a minute in silence, gathering everything in my head, going over it once more.

I clear my throat an adjust the strap of my book bag on my shoulder.

"Fine but, only cause I'm desperate to know the answers of the mystery of my mothers disappearance."

Clayton grins from ear to ear, and clasp his hands together,

"Great I'll get your number from Jake and text you later. Bye Sanly." Clayton calls, as he walks back to the cafeteria.

"It's Samantha!" I yell after him, which he fails to hear.

I sigh, opening the door to the library an slowly walk to a table as I think of what I just signed myself up for.
