"So, tell me more about yourself Mr. Benson."
Cash squeezes my hand, looking down at me, smiling. I let out a giggle and grin up at him.
We finished our dinner at Bón Jovés about 30 minutes ago and now we are currently walking on the beach as I hold my heels in my left hand and Cashs hand in my right.
"What do you wanna know?" He responds looking down at me.
"Everything."
He chuckles.
I hit him lightly with my heels, "Im serious," he looks down at me, "Tell me about your family, I have yet to here that story."
He looks back up as we walk down the cold beach, the sand squeezing between my toes.
He sighs, "Growing up was everything a kid could dream of, I was spoiled and I had everything I could think of. My parents wanted to make sure I had the best childhood and a memorable one but, when I turned 10 that all changed." I squeeze his hand as I listen closely. "My dad was in the air force and was deployed the day of my 10th birthday, life went on as best as it could with my dads absence. My mom picked up the responsibility of me and my little brother that she had just given birth to. She did everything from making sure we got to school and back, to working her butt of as a surgeon, doing everything she could to bring money home. When I was 16 my dad was sent back home, he a had very bad back injury and they said he could no longer do the job they needed him to do. My dad came home still trying to treat me like the 10 year old he once saw went he left but, I wasn't that little boy anymore, I was the man of the house now, I worked and did everything to help my mom provide the best childhood for my brother." He lets out a breath, kicking the sand, "This caused a wedge in me and my fathers relationship, he didn't want to accept the fact that I grew up and forgot about him. Life went on, I turned 17 and my brother turned 7. It was my last year of high school I turned 18 and my mother got pregnant with my sister Lucille." His eyes sparkle at the mention of his sister, "beautiful blonde curly hair, blue eyes and sun kissed skin," he looks down at me, "she's a gorgeous little thing." I smile up at him as he smiles back.
"What happened after that?" I push.
He looks back up, swallowing, "Well I graduated moved over here to see if I could make it big in cars and racing, leaving my family behind but, I haven't quite got their yet, theirs been some delays." he quietly looks down at the sand.
I swallow, "How are they now?" I ask, quietly.
"Well Im 20 so, my brothers 10 now and my sisters-," he takes a deep breath, "-my sisters 3. My dad sits around as a retired veteran, his excuse and my mom is still a surgeon as she takes care of my brother and sister."
I nod, stopping in the sand, "Well Mr. Benson," he rolls his eyes playfully but steps in front of me, smiling, "you have a very interesting story."
He snakes his arms around my waist as I place my hands on his arms, still holding my heels, "Oh do I now?" he ask playfully with raised eyebrows and a grin.
I nod my head as he leans in. Our lips collide and I smile against them under his touch.
The freezing cold water hits my toes and I squeal, jerking up my feet.
Cash laughs as he holds me up the best he can but, my laughing fades as I come to realization that it wont be like this forever, eventually I will have to confront him about Patricia and I don't know what will happen after that.
I put my feet back down untangling myself from his grip as a confused look finds his face.
I clear my throat, "We should go its getting late." Is say.
