Lauren's POV:

The umber–brown forest around us grew darker. I stared at the luminous petals of light that shine in the night sky as Liam drove. I felt warm breath against the slightly exposed skin of my abdomen. Camila had fallen asleep. The dim light from the shining moon made her features look as soft as cotton. As her chest rose up and down with every breath she took, I fought the inner battle I had with myself for the past few months.

"We are nearing the location." Liam said. I was scared. Terrified. But I had to do this, not only For Ally, but also for Camila. I was told by one of the witches working for Liam that I was allowed to travel with other vampires to the location, but once I got to the place, I had to venture alone through the dense woods. According to her, There were many creatures protecting the book and the other object I was searching for. She did not know what creature I was going to cross paths with, but she could still help me. She made me a necklace out of string and purple stone—and put a protection spell on it. If I was wearing the necklace around my neck, I'd be safe. It was also the only way to get through the magical barrier before stepping into the magic part of the forest.

"We're here." Liam announced and my heart dropped. The sleeping beauty on my body made me feel helpless. I felt as if I was going to loose her, because I didn't know the side effects of what I was going to give her. Very hesitantly, I looked down at her once more and began to shake her softly.

"Camz? Camz, we're here," Camila began to stir, but then laid her head on my thighs once again. "Baby, wake up, we're here," Camila slowly began to sit up.

"I'll go stretch out my legs to give you guys some time to speak." Liam said. Within seconds Liam walked out of the car and began walking straight down. I turned to Camila.

"We should step out as well," I opened reached to open the door but Camila stopped me.

"I can tell something is wrong, Lauren." I sat back.

"There isn't anything wrong, Camila." I couldn't look her in the eyes.

"You're hiding something from me." I closed my eyes briefly.

"I am," Silence. When only the rustling foliage was audible I spoke again. "I know that if I tell you what is happening you wont let me out of this car." I said jokingly trying to lighten up the mood.

"You don't trust me." my heart shattered as those words left her tongue. I turned to her quickly and tried to re-word my previous answer.

"Baby, no - it's not that I don't trust you, because I do. I trust you more than anyone in this earth, okay?" I looked at her, but she did not move. "One night, I was snooping around in through Ally's books. I found it rather interesting to learn more about the millions of types of the magical creatures that exist in this planet. I remember that as I was getting ready to leave one night, I accidentally knocked down a box of new grimoires she had told me about. As I began placed them in the box once again, I found a book on vampires. I asked her about it and she said I could read it. Within that book, I found a cure to Vampirism." I looked at her.

"Please don't tell me you're trying to do what I think you want to do," Camila's breathing became unsteady. I opened the car door and stepped out. "Answer me!" I jumped slightly at her tone of voice.
