Chapter Twenty Two: Painless and Reckless

"I fed you vampire venom with my saliva. All I need to do it inject this-" She removed a syringe with a black liquid from her robe, "into your veins, and you will become a Supreme Sustay. Not only that, but since it is my saliva, you will also be part witch. You, my darling, will be indestructible. The choice is yours, Lauren. Work for me, or die a painful death along with everyone you love." I gulped.

"I-I know you better than you think you do. What-what is the catch?" I asked. Madame Elik's smirk returned.

"You flip your humanity off," The dark witch told me,

"Lauren, stop! Don't you dare do this!" Camila screamed. I felt tears rush to my eyes.

If I don't do this, several more lives will be lost for mine. Hundreds were most likely lost today, good and bad, but they were lives nevertheless. However, if I do flip off my switch, all good in me will be lost. I wont be able to feel. I'll be free to kill just like I did those years before. Remorseless. If I don't flip it off, the love of my life will die because of me.

"What do you say, darling?" Madame Elik asked me. I looked at the ground.

"Yes,"

"No!" I heard Liam scream from behind the evil witch. The woman clapped her hands together and squealed.

"Austin, I need you to cut off the ropes. Let Lauren go." A tall red eyed boy walked towards me, knife in hand. "I trust that you won't do anything stupid, you know, considering the fact that i can kill your friends within seconds." I nodded and looked at Camila.

I love you. I said in my head knowing she would be trying to read my thoughts.

I love you so, so much. I felt the tears rush down my cheeks.

"You don't have to do this, Lauren." Colton said. I turned to look at him once both of my hands were loose. I Instantly began to rub on my bruised wrists. I ignored his comment and gave my full attention back to Madame Elik.

"I need prove. I need to know that you will set them free when I flip my switch." The witch stepped closer to me.

"Don't trust me, green eyes?" I gulped and felt small with her tone.

"No." I said as firm as I could utter.

"Very well." Madame Elik Faced Camila and the rest of my friends. "Gentlemen, please, step way from them," The woman told a pair of werewolves that were on either side of where my loved ones were being restrained. The werewolves bowed their heads and stepped away. "I applaud you, Lauren. No creature has been brave enough to speak to me with as much honesty as you. It is quite the show with you being a human. You know I can kill you at this very second just by stabbing your stomach, no magic needed, yet you still talk to me with so much confidence." The woman rubbed my shoulder.  "You will be a good addition to my coven." I raised my eyebrows.

"I'm not a witch?" I said.

"You're right, but you'll be part witch. Do you not listen to anything I tell you?" She asked.

"N-no I do, but-"

"Lucy will be happy about that, Lauren."

"Lucy isn't like you!" The witch Laughed.

"We are getting off track here. Now, where were we?"  Madame Elik Faced Camila and the guys once more. She stepped closer to Camila.

"Lauren, don't do it. I'll find a way to get us all out of here. Please ju-"
