"I rather be dead than be human." Ally looked at me.

"Does this mean that you-"

"That I Have to go home? Yeah." Ally looked at her hands. After a minute or so, her glossy eyes found mine.

"Come'er, kid." Ally extended her arms for me to walk into them, and I did.

"How long did Liam give you?" She asked.

"A day." I said.

"Good, so you have a day to fix things with Camila." Ally rubbed circles on my back.

"I'm not taking the offer." I told Her.

"What do you mean?"

"I want to be cleared tonight. I want to go home, tonight." I said.

Lauren's POV

My decision came to me quickly. The sooner I left, the sooner the pain would leave as well. Since Camila confessed how unhappy she was with me, living under the conditions she was, I knew I wanted this whole thing to be over. I hadn't talked to her since I left her in the bedroom, and I was honestly glad I hadn't. I knew that if she told me to runaway with her, that's what I would do. I needed time for myself, so right after my conversation with Ally, I decided to walk out through the forest to clear my mind.

The snow was falling lightly, and the sky was covered with the silver lights I had always adored. My feet crunched against the snow covered path I walked on. Eventually, I found the place I was looking for. The tree was still on the ground. I could almost see Colton punching it's wood and the sound it made when his knuckled made contact with the hard surface. I walked towards the tree, and ran my fingers through the frozen bark. I wiped away some of the snow that had accumulated on its' surface and sat. I looked at the empty space next to me.

"Where are you?" I spoke. No matter how stupid it seemed, I knew that it would help me someway. Talking to Colton was easy from the moment I met him. "A lot has happened." I looked at my hands. "Camila confirmed my suspicions-she wasn't happy with me. I guess I should be at least a little bit happy, because she finally told me the truth. I ruined her life, you know? And I hate myself for it. She was a normal girl and I took that from her. Her family, her education, her happiness. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, Colton. I have killed way too many people before meeting Camila. But after, I killed a lot more just because I saved her. I don't want to be seen as the hero who prevented another rape case. I thought I helped Camila, but that's clearly not the case." I laughed softly at my stupidity, and wiped the tears away from my eyes.

Camila's POV

When Lauren walked out of the castle, I horridly followed her. She needed space to herself, so I waited until she was a good distance away from me before I walked behind her. The castle lights began to disappear with every step I took behind her. The night was dark, and the only source of light provided was that of the stars. Eventually, Lauren walked into a clearing in the woods. I watched as the delicately touched a tree trunk on the snow covered ground, and then sat on it. Just as I had gathered enough courage to step up and carefully explain how I felt Lauren began speaking.

"Where are you?" Her tear stained voice said. I stopped and walked a few steps back and stepped behind a tree. "A lot has happened." She paused and looked into the night sky. I thought I helped Camila, but that's clearly not the case." Tears fell down my cheeks. My eyes began to burn due to the cold winter air hitting the raw tissue, which I had rubbed with my sleeve to stop my tears from falling. I had had enough of this. A tap on my shoulder stopped me from walking to her. I turned my head and saw Liam's tall frame standing behind me. When Lauren's voice came back, I held up a finger signaling him to stay quiet. Liam nodded.
