"Lauren?" I asked.

"Elik turned me into part witch, remember? The black liquid she injected in my veins months ago, contained her blood. Her own blood is running in my body right now," I looked at the raven haired girl.

"I don't understand?" I said.

"If we kill the witch, it... it would mean that we also kill Lauren," Chrissy said from behind me. Lauren stopped breathing, and she slowly looked up. Had she not seen the angel all this time? Why was this her reaction towards hearing her voice?

"Correct," Lauren said. She walked towards me.

"I can't give it to you," Her eyes were filled with crystal liquid, fighting to not be released.

"I can help you not get hurt, I'm an Angel remember?" Chrissy said.

"No," Lauren said.

"Lauren, we need to do this to help you get-"

"I need to do it myself," Lauren told Chrissy.

Lauren's POV

Seeing her in the same room as I after a seemingly infinite number of days without her made me happy.

No, Lauren. This isn't the right time.

I looked at the two women in front of me. One and Angel and one a supreme vampire. How can they love me? How can I love them? They are here because of me, because of my stupidity. Because I killed Madame Elik's Child in the middle of my thirst streak. I know the New York reaper is still inside me, that part of me will never go away. I deserve to die.

"I can help you not get hurt, I'm an Angel remember?" Chrissy told me.

"No," I said.

"Lauren, we need to do this to help you get-"

"I need to do it myself," I told Chrissy. Camila's mouth dropped, and I turned away. I could not see her like this. I walked towards the bookshelf that stood behind the Angel and The supreme vampire. Without much effort due to my vampire strength, I easily pushed the bookshelf aside, and revealed a small door, inside a safe was stored. Inside the case was the weapon that would kill the witch, and untimely, me.

"Lauren?" Camila said. I refused to turn around. Not knowing the combination of this safe was going to be a problem. "Lauren," Camila said again. I heard her foot steps approach me.

"Don't." I said firmly. "Don't you dare come any closer." I heard her stop.

"Please, Please tell me that killing Elik will not hurt you," Camila said. Her foot steps begun to sound once more, coming closer to me. I felt her presence behind me. My throat felt heavy and my eyes begun to sting. I knew what she was about to do. Camila placed a hand on my shoulder.

I walked up and down the hundreds of stairs inside the castle, but there was still no sign of my girlfriend. When I finally reached the ground level, I looked out the window and saw a pair of torches illuminating the garden. I smiled to my relief, and walked out the large wooden door towards the fire. Camila laid on the grassy garden of the prince's castle.

"Hey," I said, taking a seat on the grass myself. The night was calm, a cool breeze sawing her brown locks back effortlessly.

"Hi," Camila said softly.

"What are you doing out here? I have been looking for you everywhere," Camila's eyes were glued to the sky, where the stars were shining like diamonds when they collided with light, and sparkled beautifully.
