(Lauren's POV)

"You never even wanted me," as I said that a sharp pain began flowing through my veins. I yelled at the top of my lungs—the pain was unbearable. I then felt cold liquid enter my mouth as my painful screaming calmed. I swallowed the disgusting taste. I then saw Camila rush to my leg and the pain began to subside.

"What did you do!" I screamed.

"I saved you!" Camila yelled back.

Camila's POV

Not wanting to anger Lauren anymore than I already had, I healed the small elf that Lauren had saved. She decided to take the front passengers seat, and I was forced to sit beside the curious elf, who on various occasions opened the door of the speeding car we were all in.

"Bradley, do not open the door. you might fall off." Lauren's voice rung from the front of the car.

"Is something wrong human?" In one swift move Lauren turned to the small elf from her seat, fire burning in her eyes.

"Yes! I'm a fucking human, that's what's wrong!" Lauren yelled and the elf sunk it's self on the car seat. "Stop the car, Liam. I'm getting out here." I decided it was time for me to step in.

"Lauren-" Liam stopped the car, and Lauren stepped out immediately. As I reached to open the car door the sound of locks clicking went off. I put my fingers around the handle, and sure enough Liam had locked the car.

"I need to go with her." I said. Liam looked at me through the mirror.

"I need to speak to you. Bradley, go keep Lauren some company, will you? When you get to the castle wait for me. I will make you comfortable." The elf smiled. It then disappeared from my side, but repapered next to Lauren.

"You need to understand that you put Lauren In a very vulnerable position. I know that I was part of it, but I know she is going to resent you the most." Liam said as he backed the car up, and now we were driving the opposite direction from the castle. "The werewolves that hurt her were easily recognizable as part of an evil coven. I am sure that they recognized Lauren, and I am fearing the worst." Liam repositioned himself on his seat so that now he would be able to face me.

"What are you implying?" I asked. Already knowing what he meant, but not ready to accept it.

"We need to take Lauren back home." Tears began to pool into my eyes.

"She won't let you." I said sternly. Liam nodded his head.

"I know. That's why Chris is in the castle." My eyes grew wide.

"Wait, what? You knew this would happen?" Anger began to spike within me.

"I knew something would happen with Lauren, according to one of my fortune tellers. I did not know she would be bitten." Liam said. "Lauren was a very wanted vampire. She is known for being the one to plan a mass murder on the Sustay clan. If creatures find her as human, there is no way Lauren will survive." My eyebrows raised.

"So I'll bite and turn her once again. It's not a big deal, Liam." The prince looked at me through the rear view mirror.

"Camila, once a vampire drinks the cure they cannot be turned again." Liam said. "Im sorry to tell you this, but we need to compel her to forget everything. If we leave her human knowing all about the supernatural, it's just a matter of time until she says something about us." I felt my world stop.

Have you ever felt pain to the point were you literally can't hear?

The body shuts down when it has too much pain to bear; goes its own was quietly inside, waiting for a better time, leaving you numb and half alive.

"She won't know who I am." I spoke through tears. "Liam you can't do this—Lauren and I can stay in the castle. I'll protect her, so will Brian and your castle is secure so-"

"Camila we cannot do that. I know how you feel, but vampires go on rampages. We need human blood to stay alive. Don't be selfish, think about what is best for Lauren." It hurt.

"Will I be able to talk to her?" I asked.

"She will not remember you," Liam said sternly.
