AN: So, when I first came up with Madame Elik, I imagined Jessica Alba. So, towards the end of this chapter don't accuse me of pedophilia taking it as Lauren's still 19 in this. Thanks. xD

Previously

When Colton and I were only a few feet away from The Dark witch, it hit me.

Colton is a werewolf.

This means that although he Is part beast, he is also half human.

Human beings have a heart, and a pulse.

Colton should have a pulse.

A pulse would mean warm blood should run through his veins.

The hand I was holding was stone cold.

Lauren's POV

I began to panic. I felt as my heart began to pound against my chest at a dangerously fast pace.  I could see the salute of the dark witch in the distance, however, I was not able to tell if she was alone. The dim moonlight began to darken even further the deeper we walked towards the forest. The sounds of painful cries and terrified screams began to sound muffled, and that's when I knew I was being taken away from the possible safety Liam once tried to get me to. I looked around. I could see dozens of yellow, red, and bright green eyes shining from between the trees.

That's it.

I pulled my hand away from Colton's tight grasp and begin to run back in the direction we came from. Twigs and dry grass crunched under my feet as I pushed my way through the thick trees and back towards where I had last seen Colton, the real person. Before I could get far, a sharp object was thrown against my thigh, and I fell to the cold, winter, forest ground. A sinful laugh came from behind me following the heavy sets of feet coming towards my impaled body. In immense pain, I congregated every last ounce of strength I had in me and pushed myself on my feet, within seconds I began to run. Adrenaline shot through my veins, and I ran like I had never ran before. My life depended on my own two feet, and my human strength.

"Get her!"  Madame Elik's unmistakable voice screamed from behind me. I felt my heart sink to my stomach, but this was not the time to stop. If I was to be killed, I rather die trying to live rather than be killed without trying. The white lights In the  sky illuminated my path, and prevented my body from falling into the freezing cold water.

"Lauren!" I stopped running. My body automatically turned to the direction her voice was coming from.

"C-camila?" My voice was weak just like my body.

"There she is!" I heart a deep voice say from a distance.

"Lauren!"  I turned my head to the direction Camila's voice was coming from once again. I began to walk to wards it eagerly. Her figure came to view and she began to inch closer to be. I began to shake.

"Stop!" I screamed and her body froze.

"Lauren-"

"I said stop! Don't come any closer!" I watched as Camila's face began to shift from hopeful into a hurt, somber side I had never seen before.

"Baby, please-"

"Get her before she gets away!" I spun around just in time to dodge a wolf that rushed towards me. In the blink of an eye, a tall figure stood before me.

"Now, now, Lauren. Do you not know how easy it is for me to shapeshift?" I gasped.

"Chris?" He laughed.
