"She has it on!" I shouted when I saw the ruby colored stone on her right hand's middle finger.

"Lauren, I understand what you're going through but-" I cut Liam off.

"Ally has her protection ring on! I can still save her life— I just need to find the right book and I can save her!" Camila stepped forward with wide eyes.

"Is this true?" She asked. Liam looked defeated but then he smiled.

"She's a witch?" He asked.

"Yes." I said.

"Then you can bring her back. It's not going to be easy. The books are hidden. Only the souls on the other side and witches themselves know where they hidden. But—witches will deny everything you ask. They want nothing to do with vampires." I smiled.

"I know who to ask." I said.

"Who?" Camila asked.

"Chrissy." I said.

"Who is Chrissy?" Liam asked.

"Lauren's ex-girlfriend," Camila informed him.

Lauren's POV:

"So you're telling me that you are going to perform the spell? You're a vampire. The spirits will not allow that, Lauren." Liam said as he crossed his arms over his chest, and started at me intently.

"Yes. I have performed this spell before. I know how to do this, Liam. I need you to trust me. I need to get my friend back." Liam's jaw tightened.

"Summoning the spirits may cause unwanted consequences to the people living in this very castle, Lauren. I don't think-"

"For fucks sake I know what I am doing! I know what can happen, but I'm not stupid. I read through that book. I know how to stop it. I just need you to help me gather the ingredients needed for the spell. An empty room will also be needed. Now, are you going to help me or not? Because I can go do this outside your precious little castle and do this on my own." Camila walked into the room.

"Lauren is saying the truth. I have seen her perform the spell once before inside a house and nothing happened. The house was completely intact after the spell was completed." I smiled as Camila came to my defense.

Liam reached into his grey suit coat and pulled out a small notepad and a golden colored pen.

"What will you need?" I smiled. I would be getting my first friend back and that's all I cared about at the moment.

We walked down the dimly lit corridor and The musky air around us began to thicken. The amount of humidity that accumulated in the dark cellar was almost unbearable. In one hand I held Camila's delicate fingers between my own. On the other, I carried a heavy bag with the ingredients I needed to pull this off.

After a few more minutes of walking in the dark, a faint light began to appear down the hallway. Outside stood a large man, and on either side of the door were two sets of chairs. Two of them would be needed for the ceremony. My heart began to beat rapidly.
