It's raining, pouring, and just flat out sad

It's raining, it's pouring. The old man is snoring. He was late to a funeral, but it turns out that he needs one himself.

We were crying, no, we were sobbing our eyes out. We were standing in the rain and sobbing. We couldn't see eachother's tears because of the rain.

"Perf-f-f-fect day for a f-f-f-f-f-funeral!" I said as hot tears gushed down my face. We were at a funeral for Alice. This adventure had gotten way out of hand and I was ready to quit.

"I kn-n-n-now," Ash said as she put her head on my shoulder. We had no umbrellas and we were soaking wet as we cried in the rain.

"Where the," Ross was silent for a moment, probably bleeping out all of the cuss words rushing through his mind, "is the funeral... guy?"

"I don't know, but I have a feeling," Alice said as she started walking towards an old inn.

"How do you know where he is?" I asked as we rushed through the doors to find an old man dressed in black lying on the ground with blood pouring out of his mouth and his chest. I had a sudden compulsion to check his vitals. I knelt down beside him and put my ear close to his mouth. He wasn't breathing, but I had to make sure that he was dead. I placed my fingers on his neck and suddenly felt one throb. Then there were two, then three, then they just started going at a normal rate.

Suddenly, color was replacing the pasty white color of his skin. I kept my fingers on his pulse, and it started going crazy, it was going at a super high rate. I gasped as I removed my fingers from his neck. Then the color that was once the skin tone of an old man, was replaced with white, and blood continued to pour out of the carcass.

"Did you guys just see that?" I said as I stood up to face them.

"No, it's just an old dead guy lying on the floor bleeding. What happened?" Ash said, as a quizzical expression replaced the previous freaked out one.

"Nothing, I thought I saw... a fly. And I was wondering if you guys saw it. That's all," Ash and Ross exchanged glances.

"Well, I guess we need to bury Alice ourselves," Ross said as we walked out the door. We hurried to Alice's carcass which was nearby, untouched, unfeeling, and unliving. I knelt down to her crapily made coffin that we made out of lumber that was conveniently lying in the road. I gave her a sad look and I stroked her cold face. The temperature of her face had changed as I slowly ran my fingers down her face, and color was slowly returning to her skin. I removed my hand once again, startled by this wierd thing that was suddenly happening to me.

"Alice, I'm going to miss you, so desparately, and longingly, and just flat out terribly," I said as I once again stroked her face. The temperature of her cold skin was changing immensely fast. I kept my hand on her face this time, I wanted to know what happened if I did. Her skin was changing color. Her cheeks were getting rosy, and her pulse was racing. I put my ear close to her nose (because her mouth was closed) and she was breathing. Not steadily, just a breath every couple of seconds. Then they started speeding up, then she was breathing almost at a regular rate. The color returned to her body and her eyes slowly fluttered open.

"Dani?" I could barely make out what she said as she subtly opened her dry mouth.

"Yes,"  I said as hot tears ran down my cheeks. The tears dripped on Alice's chest and one by one they all turned gold and her skin soaked them up. I could make out the shape of her heart beating in her chest, as it glowed underneath her skin. I was crying hysterically as Ross and Ash rushed over to my side.

"Did," Alice said slowly, trying so hard to force words out of her throat, "Did... I... die?" I was suddenly speechless.

"To tell you the truth, I've absolutely no idea," I said as I hugged her. More tears gushed out of my eyes. When they landed on Alice, each little tear slowly healed her. I could tell by the way her facial expression changed every time one landed on her. They made her chest glow, which was a little bit wierd.

"Holy," I won't write the words that she said because if I did, this book would have to be rated R. Alice wreched and screamed in pain as her chest started to burst with light. Yeah, again, cheesy, but it really did happen and this is exactly how it happened. I had to shield my eyes as she was glowing brightly. Suddenly everything turned black under my eyelids, so I opened my eyes and saw Alice lying in her coffin, Ash and Ross sitting beside me. Alice was smiling the biggest smile I had ever seen.
