Little Jack Horner, sat in a corner, eating his Christmas pie, he put in his thumb and pulled out a tongue, then went to scream, but found he couldn’t make a sound, because his tongue was on his thumb.

"WHAT THE HELL?!?!?! Ross put that tongue of yours where it belongs; INSIDE your mouth!" I screeched, trying hard not to burst into tears.

"Ash!! Uhh, It was nothing!" Alice said, blushing and  deep in my soul I knew she wasn't lying.

"Yeah, it was uhh, noth-nothing." Ross stumbled and... turned purple.

Just his skin but it stunned me so much I nearly fell backwards. Ross was PURPLE!! I looked at him and he looked back. The answer to my mental question swam in his eyes. He was lying. That was why he was purple. Somehow, his skin turned purple when he lied to me that time. But why now? What's happening to all of us? Why were we all randomly getting super powers? There were so many questions invading my thoughts that I almost passed out. But the one thing that soared above all my other thoughts was this; Ross was lying when he said the kiss he shared with Alice didn't mean anything to him. My eyes narrowed and I could feel them zing with something wierd. It felt kind of like knowledge.

"Ash... what- what's uhh- what's h- happening to your eyes?" Alice gasped.

I turned and looked into one of the hanging mirrors in the inn. My eyes... THEY WERE PURPLE! Just the same shade as Ross's skin when he lied to me, which reminds me...

"Ross, you're a big, fat, sweaty, over-the-top, cocky, man-whorish LIAR!" I screamed at him as the purple of his skin faded.

"Ash, I'm not a liar, nothing is going on!" Ross shouted, his skin turning purple again.

"AHA You're purple you LIAR. You're purple so I know you're lying!" My voice had risen a notch and the zing in my eyes now became a strong pulsing.

"ASHLYNN! Calm down! You're going to make a huge scene." Dani shushed from behind me.

"Gahh, how do you do that sneaking up on people stuff? And by the way I'm not the one causing a scene, HE'S the one that was shoving his tongue down one of my best friends' throats!" I gasped, a little lower.

"Wait... WHAT?! Okay now that pisses me off. Alice, did you even want that?" Dani turned, always the peacmaker of the group.

Alice stayed quiet but shook her head in the slightest way. Before I could blink Dani had pinned a-girl-is-no-match-for-my-awesome-strength Ross to the wall of the inn. I could by her face she was thinking had about something. She seemed to internally sigh then growled and tightened her hold on his collar.

"Maybe if I can bring the dead back to life I can dissipate the life of the unworthy as well." Dani hissed before closing her eyes and focusing on something.

The fear the overtook Ross's expression nearly sent me into fits of laughter, but as time dragged on and nothing happened, a small smirk formed on his lips. He opened his mouth to say something but was cut off my a desperate scrambing and clatter from the next room over. I quickly rushed over to the front door, left, and ran into the nextdoor room with an explosion of wood. in the corner sat a boy who was staring at a pie from across the room, horror stricken. I looked at the boy, then looked at the pie quickly and went to turn back to the boy but my head snapped back in surprise. The pie had a small, thumbsized hole in the middle of a crevice. Next to the pie layed the oddest thing. It was pink with little bumps all over it and a slight white tinge. then I realised what it was.

OHMIGAWD.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" My bloodcurling scream echoed around the whole inn and within the minute everyone had rushed in to see what I was screaming about. They didn't stop looking around until their eyes fell upon the pink thing. You want to know what it was? No it was no plum. Of course nothing stayed with the actual Nursery Rhyme about Little Jack Horner, it just had to be this thing he pulled out of his pie.

It had a tinge of blood at the flat end.

It looked very wierd, seeing all of it.

You really want to know what it is?

Well, it was... it was.. it was...

A tongue.
