Rosalie's P.O.V

The weeks scraped by and, unsurprisingly, Edward never left Bella's side. Alice had resurfaced from her grieving state slowly, much to Jasper's work, but still, her excitable manner didn't return. Everyone mostly lingered around Bella, scared that if we left her alone something would happen; even though, she would never be alone as Edward became a magnet.

"Edward, you need to hunt," Carlisle insisted when he was checking Bella's wires upstairs. Edward's anxiety was horrendous but understandable...however, his promise not to leave her left him in quite the predicament when he needed to hunt.

The poor boy sat by her frail side, mumbling prayers that he learned when he was a young boy; even after I told him that the Lord wouldn't listen to someone without a soul, my comment just a usual pinch to antagonize,  Edward merely answered that He would have to help someone so pure as Bella. I didn't understand that boy sometimes.

"I can't leave her, Carlisle. What would happen if something went wrong? If she woke up? If she has another seizure?" Edward sounded exhausted from the lack of blood and each strong emotion in him, which was constantly beating him, pounding more specifically at his heart. Edward's weak spot.

Alice from beside me stood up and ran quickly up the stairs, in the direction of Bella's room.

"I'll come! That way, I can see if something will happen and contact you straight away; but I am positive nothing will happen," Alice suggested, saving the day yet again.

"Good idea, Alice," Carlisle answered, "Edward?" Silence pursued as Edward contemplated the suggestion. I didn't have to see Edward to know he was probably looking at Bella.

"Okay," Edward replied quietly, I heard the sound of his lips kiss Bella's skin- forehead, maybe- and then their footsteps tapped down the stairs.

Edward exited the house silently, probably too desperate to see Bella again that he forgot to say a 'goodbye', Alice hurried to Jasper and gave him a kiss on the cheek before walking over to me, baffled as to why she was walking to me, I quirked an eyebrow.

"I need you to change Bella's gown to keep it all fresh, Esme's out so that leaves you. Is that okay, Rose?" Alice asked, I simply nodded and with a smile, Alice ran in the direction of Edward; not leaving a footprint in the snow, on the way.

I did as Alice had requested, changing Bella into a clean gown; it was the perfect time to do so as Edward had left, which allowed Bella some privacy.

"Rosie?" Emmett called from downstairs, he didn't raise his voice but it still had the slight echoing effect.

"Yes, Em?" I answered, running down the stairs to the den where he was packing away his game console.

"Carlisle said can we get a Christmas tree because if Bella wakes in time, it may lift her spirits- and ours as well. He can't go as he wants to stay here, in case Alice is wrong about the whole seizure thing...But I think it's more to do with him and Esme being alone," Emmett smirked, that mischievous twinkle back in his eye.

"Emmett," Carlisle playfully warned, knowing Emmett and his mind too well.

"Well, I'm not staying here for that," Jasper shuddered from across the room, behind his book.

"Come with," Emmett suggested.

"As long as you don't get it on in the backseat while we're there, then fine," Jasper answered as he placed his book on the coffee table and walked to us with his arms crossed.

"No promises," I said for Emmett, while he turned his head and smiled like a child on Christmas morning.

We said our farewells to Carlisle and headed to the tree farm in Emmett's Jeep Wrangler. Unlike the surrounding humans, Emmett belted down the highway at full speed- but we didn't swerve once, due to my modification on his tires. The radio was full of Christmas songs which made Emmett compelled to sing at the top of his lungs, resulting in the hilarious sight of Jasper hitting the low notes and Emmett trying to hit the high of Santa Baby. It was a tradition for Emmett to sing the song since it aired in 1953.
