Isabella's POV:
Once we landed in New York, we walked out of the airport and called for a cab. We got driven to a huge 5 star hotel, with a water park and everything. If only uncle Louis had told us to bring bathing suits.
"I know what you girls are thinking, and that's why we are going to go shopping for bathing suits."
"Good, because I love water parks!" I exclaimed. Oh yeah, did I mention that auntie Eleanor came with us? Well she did, we picked her up on the way to the airport.
"Come on girls." Auntie Eleanor said opening the cab door. Uncle Louis paid the driver and we walked inside the hotel. We walked up to the front desk and uncle Louis was given a key card to a room. We walked upstairs and opened the door to a HUGE hotel room. There was a living room, a kitchen and 2 separate bedrooms. The second bedroom had 2 queen beds, a couch, a dresser and a flat screen tv with a DVD player. I guess it's a good thing that I brought my despicable me movies. I REALLY LOVE them!
"Isabella! Ruby! We're going shopping c'mon!" Auntie Eleanor called us from our room. We walked over to her and linked arms. "Lou, are you coming?"
"Yes I am." Uncle Louis linked arms with me and we walked downstairs to the lobby. First we went to a store that sold bathing suits, I got a 2 piece pink floral bathing suit, and Ruby got the same as me except hers was blue. After we got our bathing suits we went to American Girl, uncle Louis didn't want to 'ruin' his reputation (as he put it) so he sent auntie Eleanor inside with us. We must have been in the store for hours! Me and Ruby got 1 doll each, and they looked exactly like us. Mine had long light brown hair and brown eyes, and Ruby's had long dark brown curly hair with green eyes. We got a bunch of clothes for our dolls, and by a bunch, I mean A BUNCH! I saw auntie Eleanor talking to one of the employees and she walked back over.
"Can everyone take a moment to wish Ruby Edwards a happy 11th birthday today!" The employee announced over the speakers. Ruby stood there speechless, I had no idea it was her birthday!
"Happy Birthday sissy! Why didn't you tell me?" I said giving Ruby a huge hug.
"I don't know, I didn't want anyone making a big fuss over me." Ruby said quietly.
"Ruby, that's the whole reason we came here! I knew that you had always wanted to come here so I planned it!" Auntie Eleanor said kneeling down in front of Ruby.
"Isn't this the best birthday or what?" I asked Ruby. Ruby nodded and smiled.
"That's just the start of it Ruby, you've got a lot more coming for you!" Auntie Eleanor said pulling us to a cash register. We paid for the dolls and the other stuff before leaving the store. Uncle Louis was waiting for us outside.
"Oh my gosh, I thought you three died inside there!" Uncle Louis said dramatically.
"I wish." Ruby muttered jokingly.
"Okay, so we are going out for dinner! Then ice-cream!" Uncle Louis said skipping off in a random direction.
"Louis, restaurant is this way." Auntie Eleanor said walking towards a restaurant called Boston Pizza. Uncle Louis was slowly trailing behind us, earning weird glances from people around us.
Ruby's POV:
When we sat down in the restaurant, I couldn't help but wonder... How could they make such a big deal about my birthday? I never really had anyone do anything special for me like this. Auntie Eleanor ordered a large pepperoni and ham pizza and it was shortly delivered to us. I took a sip out of my coke, then grabbed a piece of pizza. We finished the pizza about 10 minutes after we got it and went to an ice-cream store. Auntie Eleanor got a strawberry ice-cream cone, Uncle Louis got a mix of everything, Isabella got cookies and creme, and I got a chocolate one. We sat down at a table and started to eat our ice-cream.
"Thanks for today." I said. "No one ever really did anything special for my birthday before."
"Well in this family, every little accomplishment is celebrated." Auntie Eleanor said wiping her mouth with a napkin.
A few hours later...
"Beat you to the bottom!" Isabella yelled before sliding down the water slide. I went down after her and somehow beat her down.
"Aha! I won- Isabella? Where are you?" I said looking around the pool. I was pushed under the water, and I instantly knew it was Isabella. I swam around her and popped out from under the water. Sending her underneath. She came up minutes later laughing. Uncle Louis and auntie Eleanor came into the pool and put us on their shoulders.
"Chicken!" Uncle Louis called out. And we started running away from him and Isabella. Auntie Eleanor turned around and we pushed uncle Louis and Isabella into the water.
"We win!" I yelled out.
"Not for long!" Uncle Louis yelled back, pulling us under the water with them.
